Is there any good 49G User RPL or Hp BASIC tutorials avaliable?

I have looked at hpcalc.org, but I haven't found any good ones there.

Carl,
Even after all these years, I still find many HP 48G/GX resources
invaluable when I program the HP 49G. (Please see the list at the end of
this message.) In conjunction with the HP 49G _Advanced User's Guide_
(especially Chapter 14 on the new Computer Algebra System commands),
you'll find that the books mentioned in the list will take you a long way.
If I had to buy just one or two, I'd go with the _HP 48G Advanced User's
Reference Manual_ (the AUR) and _HP 48 Insights, Volume I_. These are #4
and #7 in the list. The AUR has two *REAL* chapters on programming,
running some 138 pages (instead of the svelte 16 pages that comprise
Chapter 10 of the HP 49G User's Guide). As for Wickes' _Insights_, I read
it as much for philosophy (the RIGHT way to do things) as for technical
information (it has plenty of both).
I hope this helps. As many in this newsgroup have pointed out, the 49G and
48G/GX are a joy to program on, what with an exceptionally rich collection
of control structures and a debugging environment.

In my homepage at http://move.to/hp48g there is a User RPL programming
tutorial. Altough it does not cite the HP49G in it, all the information
there for the '48 is still valid in the HP49G.

Ok, but if I program on the Computer in User RPL, do I have to compile it,
or how do I do?
Can I write the code in Notepad, or will i need a special program?
Is there any source code for existing programs available?

Hi, Carl !
Just transfer 1dt on example program to your PC
and you will get the needed header to your work
on the PC, ready for transfer back to the calc.
Try it !

Thank you for your compliment, glad to be of service to you. I do have an
additional mission, however: occasionally I help convert someone over to
HP. When that occurs all the hatred this newsgroup can dish out is but a
small price to pay.

The HP has a built-in compiler (that;s why the on the HP48 editor is slower
than other add-on editors).
The best way would be to use the emulator (emu48 with the HP49 kml files, that
way you can transfer to your calc directly when you are done.

As mentioned above, the HP will compile on its own.
>> Can I write the code in Notepad, or will i need a special program?
You can write in any text editor and transfer via ASCII mode.
>> Is there any source code for existing programs available?
You'd have to check individual programs, but some do include the source
code. You should note that for any UserRPL program you have on your HP's
main memory can simply be recalled to the stack and viewed.
