Procedure to replace the Memory Module.

Please follow the steps below to replace a memory module in the Cisco Blade
Server:
1) Log into the UCS Chassis in which the memory fault found.
2) On the right hand side in general tab Fault Summary will display

3) Click the Fault Summary.

4) We can see the Faults Tab with objects Affected:

5) You can find the Blade Number here sys.


6) Sys/chassis-1/blade-2
7) Click the servers tab and double click the server affected on the left hand
side:

8) Click Inventory Tab and Memory Tab and you can find Memory Modules
with RED Mark.
9) Right Click on Memory with RED Mark and Click Navigator, you can see the
windows as below:

You can see the Memory ID and Location as shown below:

10)
In order to replace the Memory Module we have to shutdown the
server after migration the running Virtual Machines to another host.
11)
After the migration of VMs completed, shutdown/Power-off the
Server from vCenter and also confirm from UCS Chassis.
12)
Turn on the Locater LED for the server.

13)
In the DC, remove the blade from the Chassis and top cover and
replace the Memory module and insert back the blade.

Log into UCS and Power on the Server
15)
Confirm the Memory module has no errors.
16)
Log into the vCenter Server and Boot the ESXi Host.
17)
Update to all relevant teams and migrate back the VMs.
