Chapter 8

The Bastille-1789

The war in France began; the Defargue’s were commanding the

revolution to proclaim a new government. At first the group of
revolutionaries arrived the Bastille, and set free all the prisoners,
then Mr. Defargue told to a guard to guide him to the North Tower
and a specific room were he found a paper from Dr. Manette when
he use to be there. Mr. Darnay’s home in France had been
attacked.

Chapter 9
Pulled to France-1792

The war extended three more years, one day Mr. Darnay visited
Mr. Lorry at Tellson’s Bank and a letter for Evremonde arrive
(Darnay), it was from Gabelle, he was prisoner and he need
Darnay’s help to be saved. Darnay decided to go to France to help
his country; he didn’t say it to anyone. He leave a letter for his wife
and the Dr., he kissed her daughter and wife before leaving.

Chapter 10
The Prisoner

Mr. Darnay was arriving France and then he was took prisoner
because he had returned to the country in war, he was sent to Mr.
Defargue, he read the letter from Gabelle then the guards took him
to La Forte where he was set prisoner alone, he was worried about
his family.

Chapter 11
Waiting

Mr. Lorry was in Paris then he got surprised when Dr. Manette and
his daughter appear through the door saying that Darnay has been
there like 4 days and that he is in prison. Dr. Manette asked for
help to some revolutionaries.
Mr. Defargue arrived with a letter from Manette, Darnay is OK but
the Dr. would stay there for a while to help him. After 4 days Dr.
Manette arrived there and told that Darnay would be judged, and
that he is going to work there. The King and Queen were tried and
death.

Chapter 12
Judge

That day Darnay would be judge by 5 judges, but he was witnesses

of being a good man, Gabelle and Dr. Manette. The judge called Dr.
Manette to talk, he gave a little speech abut Darnay and he was
loved by the entire town so Darnay was set “no guilty”.
The family went to the home in Paris to be in peace, but that night
Darnay was prisoner again because someone has denounced him.

Chapter 13
A Spy is Seen

Sydney Carton was in Paris but no one knows it, at Mr. Defargue
wine shop he saw John Barsad and recognize him, he was a spy
and use to work at London but now he is a guard in France so
Carton uses that information to force him to do what he want, like
if Darnay was set guilty Barsad would let Mr. Carton see him for a
last time.

Chapter 14
Judged Again

Darnay was judged again because he was denounced by Mr. And

Mrs. Defargue and by Dr. Manette in a letter that Mr. Defargue has
so he was set guilty by the five judges, all his family said goodbye
to him, and he would be killed tomorrow by the guillotine.

Chapter 15
Madame Defargue’s Secret

The reason that the Defargue’s wanted to see all the Evremonde
death is because Mrs. Defargue family suffered very much with the
Marquis, his family was murder because of him so she wants to see
all the family death including the Manettes. Carton heard all that
and told it to Mr. Lorry and made a plan.

Chapter 16
La Guillotine

Many people will died that day so Darnay was anxious and he
didn’t know how a guillotine looks like.
Carton arrived to the prison and told to Darnay to wrote a letter
but then Carton drugged Darnay and began to change clothes to
begin his plan, they looked so alike that no one will notice it. The
Manettes where leaving Paris also with Darnay.
Carton just died that day at the guillotine.
