EVOLUTION OF IPHONE
Many people contributed to the invention of the IPhone like, Charles J. Pisula, Chris
Blumenberg, Wayne C. Westerman, Henri C. Lamiraux, Paul D. Marcos, Marcel van Os, Steve
Jobs, Nitin K. Ganatra and that is just to name a few. The IPhone is a evolutionary product
because it kind of stem from the Newton MessagePad. That was an handheld device made by
Apple in the mid-1990s.
Over the course of time the IPhone has changed tremendously. It was only nine years ago that the
original IPhone was first released. IPhone 1 first launched in the US June 200, while in the UK it
launched November 2007. Steve Jobs described the IPhone as three devices in one; a
revolutionary mobile phone, truly mobile web browser and a touchscreen IPod. The IPhone
started the touchscreen revolution.
The IPhone 3G launched July 2008, since high-speed connectivity was big then IPhone included
36 in its moniker. It was also thinner and had a plastic back. The app store model really brought
more people to the IPhone.
The IPhone 3GS launched June 2009. The upgrade was seen as minor. Although it had faster
performance, and the new camera that recorded and took pictures, voice control and extra
storage.
The IPhone 4 was launched June 2010. The IPhone 4 was a big upgrade from the IPhone 3GS, it
had a flat design, high-resolution Retina display and better camera. Thats when the pricing got
up but people still really loved it.
The IPhone 4S launched October 2011. The S was added to signify a minor upgrade, rather
than a major upgrade. The IPhone 4S was the same as the IPhone 4 but the difference was the A5
processor. It vastly improved the graphics capabilities and an and even better camera and 1080p
video recording. That is when Siri first came to play.

Then the IPhone 5 launched in September 2012. After six generations, Apple finally decided to
change the IPhones screen size and aspect radio. This IPhone had a 4-inch screen, and it was
20% lighter than its predecessor.
The IPhone 5S/5C was launched September 2013. This was a cheaper IPhone, with a plasticbacked model. The IPhone 5C was made to help battle Android in the busy mobile middle
market. But, as for the IPhone 5S but they were way more improvements to this one. There was
way more power, better camera, fancy fingerprint and the iOS 7.
The IPhone 6/6 Plus was launched September 2014. The IPhone 6 brought the biggest
alterations in design and features. The biggest change was the screen size, it had a high pixel
density so the image quality was really sharp. And the option for size made it even better. The
IPhone 6 Plus has the largest screen of any IPhone and also the clearest. The screen curved into a
body with rounded edges. Both IPhones have metal backs, and take a lot of design language from
the IPad Air. Now the power button goes on the right-hand side of the phone. Along with the
release of the new IPhone they also released the iOS 8.
The IPhone 6S/6S Plus launched in September 2015. The S let you know that the changes
coming were only minor. But, there was a new color and that was rose gold joining silver. Space
grey and gold. But now they are formed from 7000 series aluminum, and it is supposed to be
super tough. Then Apples new A9 chip made it possible to capture a few seconds of something
live with each snap. The big bonus was the new 3D Touch technology; it allows the display on
the IPhone to monitor how much pressure youre applying to it.
The IPhone SE was released March 2016. This phone takes a lot of features from the IPhone
5S. This is perfect for people looking for a smaller IPhone but is very up to date. This IPhone is
the cheapest IPhone you can buy right now and has a better battery life than any other IPhone.

Now, allegedly September 7 will be the release date of the IPhone 7. There is expected to be a
IPhone 7 and IPhone 7 Plus. There is supposed to be a larger improved camera, plus a dualcamera system. There is supposed to be no headphone jack. And running iOS 10 at launch.
But the only thing we really know is that it releases in September sometime soon.
This relates to DIM because it is an emerging technology, it constantly updates every year. It has
a technological impact. This will make things better for people involved in DIM. You get the
IPhone in telephone stores, and Maybe mainstream stores. Why wouldnt you need it? It is the
easiest phone to use and most advanced. I think eventually there will be a last IPhone, but there
is a possibility technology would advance over time.
