ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We would like to take this opportunity to express deep sense of gratitude to our respected
guide Prof. Vijaykumar S. Chaudhari for his skillful guidance and constant support without
which this project would have never materialized.
We are deeply indebted to Principal Dr S. M. Jagade, Head of Electronics Engineering
Department Dr Seema Biday, Prof. R.B.Waghmare and the other faculties of the
Electronics Department. They supported us with scientific guidance, advice and
encouragement. They were always helpful and enthusiastic and this inspired us in our work.
Last but not the least we would like to thank our alma mater, Terna Engineering College for
giving us all the knowledge we have acquire so far. The facilities and exposure that we
received from our college has moulded us into individuals we are today.

Abstract
Real time monitoring of process parameters inside the underground or open cast mines
in a reliable manner is a technical challenge for the mine industry. Real time monitoring can
provide accurate information about different critical mining parameters like rise in humidity
and temperature, presence of dangerous gases, presence of light etc. This monitoring can
also pave way for the safety of the miners. Conventional wired communication has severe
drawback regarding real time monitoring. This project develops a system which monitors the
critical parameters inside the mine and transmits the data in wireless manner for better
monitoring and visualization.

Index Terms- Ardiuno, Mine Safety, Temperature, Humidity, Light and Gas.
