Parts of the Body

Body the whole physical structure and substance of a human being

Head - the upper part of the body in humans,

joined to the trunk by the neck, containing the
brain, eyes, ears, nose, and mouth

Hair - is a protein filament that grows from

follicles found in the dermis, or skin

Forehead - the part of the face above the

eyebrows

Eye - the organ of sight; the area around the

eye including the eyelids

Ear - the part of the body specialized for the

perception of sound; organ of hearing
Nose - the part of the human face between the
mouth and the eyes, having two opening

Mouth - the opening through which an animal

or human takes in food

Neck - the part of the body of an animal or

human being that connects the head and the
trunk

Shoulders the joint connecting the arm or

forelimb with the body

Chest - the front surface of a person's body

between the neck and the abdomen

Stomach - the internal organ in which the

major part

of the digestion of food occurs

Arm an upper limb of the human body,

technically between the shoulder and elbow

Hand the part of human body attached to

the end of the forearm, including the wrist,
palm, fingers, and thumb

Fingers - each of the four slender jointed parts

attached to either hand

Waist - the part of the body in humans

between the ribs and the hips

Knees the joint between the thigh and the

lower part of the human leg

Toes - any of the five digits at the end of the

human foot

Legs the part of human body by means of

which
humans stand and walk

Foot - the end part of the leg, on which a

person stands or moves
