In our closest relationships, there can be difficult moments of tension and conflict. Perhaps between you and
your parents, your spouse, your child or a close friend.
Inevitably, the Lord will use our relationships to draw
out our deepest hiding sins in our own hearts. We must
remember in these difficult moments that the intensity
of emotions gives us no warrant for sin. Just as when
the darkness of our enmity towards God was at peak,
the Lord shone into our hearts with a kind light, it is here
that our love must shine brightest. Yes, in the darkest
nights of our relationships, we must see the opportunity
we have to shine the love of Christ in a way that daylight
does not afford. It is when we are most tempted towards
impatience that we must pray for the patience Jesus has
with us. It is when we are most tempted toward rude
words that we must fix our eyes on the kind ways of God
with us and ask him to work, by the power of his Spirit
living in us, to put kind words on our lips. May our Christian love shine brightest in the darkest moments of our
relationships.

Have you considered the spiritual benefits of a good podcast? Here are several worth looking into:
Signposts with Russel Moore
The Gospel Coalition
Ask Pastor John with John Piper
Interviews by 9Marks
5 Minutes in Church History
The Briefing with Al Mohler
If you dont understand podcasting, it may be worth asking
someone you know to help you with this. Its easier than
you might think, and the benefits are many. Additionally,
you can pray for an upcoming podcast from our very own
Pastor Andrew Gutierrez, titled Give Your Life Away and
expected to begin in the months ahead.
