Extension of Period for Filing of Candidacy
Promulgated: 6 September 2016

WHEREAS, enabled by Article 5, Section 4a of the Electoral Code which allows the
Commission to call for an extension of the period for Filing of Candidacy if deemed
necessary.
WHEREAS, having just released the number of seats available for Course Representatives
per year level per course due to the delayed return and reply of necessary letters and
document to and from pertinent offices.
WHEREAS, to allow more time for aspiring candidates to reflect and prepare for their
candidacy as well as to focus more efforts on the dissemination of information with regard to
the new structure and positions in the Sanggunian.
NOW THEREFORE, it has been decided upon that the period of Filing for Candidacy for
the 2016 Sanggunian Elections shall be extended until September 9, 2016. The details on the
change in the schedule of activities shall be released in a separate memorandum.
This document shall take effect immediately subsequent to the promulgation of this
resolution.
