JEFFS BLOG
Our chapter has been asked to
co-host the Annual Conference
that will take place in Long Beach
in the summer of 2017. We will be
teaming up with the So Cal
chapter to aid in the planning and
support of the conference.
While that seems a long way
off, there is a lot of planning
that has to be done far in
advance of the event.
To start with, we will
need five committee
chairs to co-chair with So
Cal on the following committees:

Hospitality
Sessions
Entertainment
Tours
Information/Publicity
In addition, we will need
quite a few members to
serve as session monitors
during the event.
The only criteria for
serving is that you should
not be on the board for
the chapter for the 20162017 year so that your
duties do not take away
from the operation of the
chapter. This is a great

ASHRAES HVAC Design Training

opportunity for those not currently

serving to get involved. Ultimately,
Society runs the conference, but a
lot of help is needed by the local
chapter(s) to pull it off. An additional
benefit to serving as a committee cochair is that the conference fees for
you are waived.
I have volunteered to serve as
co-chairman of the host committee and will need your help. I am
asking for volunteers to contact
me now about serving on one of
the committees. I am confident
that our chapter will step up to
the challenge. Thanks, and have
a great month. Jeff Conrad
