MathWe have started Topic # 3 which is multiplying numbers.


We will be talking about math properties like the Commutative
and Associative Properties. We also will be learning about exponents. Please note that extra credit is offered at the end of
each topic.
Reading Next week our story is Ten Mile Day. Before the
1860s, no railway ran all the way across the United States.
However, in 1862 Congress began the task of joining the West
coast with the East coast.
GrammarIn grammar we will be reviewing verbs and learning
about helping and main verbs
Writing We will be doing our final draft of our Tall Tales. We
will be stressing on hooking the reader . That is getting the
reader interested in what you are writing about.
Spelling Our list focuses on contractions this week. Please
practice your words. You can access the words at
www.spellingcity.com on your computer
Social Studies We have started Unit 2. Unit 2 is the study of
Native Americans. This week we started to learn about ancient
Indians
Science We reviewed the Scientific Method and participated
in a savor the flavor experiment to apply the steps. Next week,
we will conduct more investigations.

and then send back the envelope only. The grades change constantly so please check your
childs harmony account to have the most updated information possible. If you have lost the
password information to get into harmony please contact the office. Encourage your child to
turn in corrections and take advantage of the extra credit being offered.
