PROCEDURES FOR ON-THE-JOB TRAINING

A. GUIDELINES IN PREPARING THE OJT PORTFOLIO


The following are the contents of the paper-bound portfolio that will be submitted at the end of the training:
1. Cover page
The student-trainee can design the cover page of his portfolio using his creativity
2. First page
It includes the name of the cooperating agency, student-trainees name, semester and school year.
3. Table of Contents
4. Narrative Report
The narrative report to be submitted at the end of the training shall contain, but not be limited, to the
following in paragraph form:
a. Name and profile of the agency in which the student-trainee was deployed (history, objectives,
mandates, vision, mission, values)
b. Name and title of the supervisor
c. Introduction to include the objectives of the training
d. General description of the experience emphasizing on the various types of work, activities
performed
e. Special projects assigned and were completed by the student-trainee, if any.
f. Discussion of benefits and insights gained by the student-trainee from OJT experience
Accounting Concepts, Principles and Competencies applied
Business (other than accounting) Concepts and Principles applied
Non-accounting competencies needed in assigned task
Assessment of educational preparation vis-a-vis the tasks assigned.
Did the OJT provide you with the industry experience needed?
g. Additional comments or suggestions which the student-trainee feels would be useful.
Competencies needed to be learned from USL to make you better prepared for work as a
professional.

The narrative report should be computerized, double-spaced, font 12 in Times


New Roman, and printed on an 80gsm, 8.5 X 13 bond paper with one-and-a
half-inch margin on the left side and one-inch margin each on the other sides.

a. Letters
Any correspondence written in relation to the training should be included in the portfolio. A copy
of follow-up letter to the cooperating agency expressing gratitude should also be included.

11. Resume of the student-trainee highlighting the experiences gained from the training

B. OUTPUT PRESENTATION
At the end of the On-the-Job Training Program, the student-trainee has to present before a panel a report
on activities undertaken during the field work.
