Dear Parents/Guardians,
We welcome our students back to school and wish them success for another exciting year ahead.
Given below is some important information that will help us to collaborate and ensure a smooth
start to the new academic year.
Important Information
Network Head: A major step to improve the efficiency and performance of our school is the
appointment of Mr. Shahid Iqbal as Head of The City School North Nazimabad Network. He will
provide support and focus on improving the quality of teaching and learning in all the schools
under his supervision. Your suggestions and ideas in this respect are welcome. You may contact him

Appointment with Principal, Vice-Principal or Head of School

Believing in a strong home-school partnership, the school has an open door policy. However, in
order for us to attend to you exclusively, it is best to book an appointment with Ms. Mehar Naz
Hossain on 021-36721529, csnsro26@csn.edu.pk.
Attendance/Absence Policy
In compliance with our 80% attendance policy, all students must regularly attend school. In the
case of an absence, an application, clearly stating the reason for absence, must be sent to the class
teacher.
Punctuality
The school gates close at 8am sharp. Latecomers, after being given two warnings, may be sent
home. Parents are advised NOT to leave their children unattended at the gate.
Security Check at the School Gate
Please cooperate with the School Security Staff upon entering the campus.
Traffic Rules
To avoid traffic jams, please observe the rules regarding one-way lane, entry/exit and drop off/pick
up points. Please also advise your drivers to observe the traffic rules and cooperate with our staff
on duty.
Home

Time
Students must be picked up from school immediately after the school day ends.
At home time, parents will only be allowed inside the gate after a security check.
Students must not loiter around the school at the end of the school day and report to their
respective gate for dispersal.

Student Identity Cards

New Identity Cards are available to all students @Rs30/- each. Please send your childs latest
passport-sized photograph to the class teacher for issuance of the new card since all old ID Cards
will become invalid after 8 September 2016.Thereafter students will only be handed over to
parents/drivers/van drivers upon showing the childs ID Card.

Code of Conduct and Discipline Policy

The Citizens Conduct is attached with this circular. Please go through the Code of Conduct along
with your child and talk to him/her about the efficacy of these rules. In the case of minor or major
discipline issues, the school reserves the right to take action and safeguard the interests of all
stakeholders.
Mobile Phones
Mobile phones are not allowed on campus. If a student is found using a mobile phone, it will be
confiscated. The school telephone is available for students to use in the case of an emergency.

Parents will be informed of important announcements and unscheduled holidays through School

Directory Forms
Directory Forms have already been issued. Please fill the forms and return to your childs class
teacher on or before 22August 2016. Please keep the school informed if there is a change of
address or telephone numbers.
Extra Learning Support Classes (ELSC)
Parents should motivate and support their children to complete their home assignments and revise
their classwork. If parents think their child needs extra help, they can contact the school Head who
will arrange for ELSC after school or suggest another solution.
P.E. Uniforms
Students are expected to wear P.E. uniform as per their schedule for P.E.classes.
Fee Challans
Bi-monthly challans are issued to students. Please ensure that fee is paid within the due date, after
which a fine of Rs15/- per day will be charged.
Maintenance of Notebooks
Parents must ensure that their children carry books in accordance with the class timetable, which is
given in their homework diaries. Notebooks are sent home on the last Friday of every month. Please
review your childs notebooks and sign the indices.
General Information:

Canteen facility and bottled water is available at the school for all students.

Students should maintain personal hygiene and wear proper school uniform.

Boys must have short, neat haircuts.

Students cannot leave the school during the school hours without a written application
submitted to and approved by the respective Head.

You will often receive circulars and letters from the school. Please read them carefully and
file them for future reference.
