CourseDescription:

SpanishIisanintroductorycourseforlearnerswithuptoonesemesterofexperiencespeakingSpanish.Bytheendoftheyear
learnerswillbeabletocommunicateusingavarietyofwordsandphrasesthathavebeenpracticedandmemorized.

Learnerscollaboratetomakeandunderstandmeaninginthetargetlanguage,rememberingthatthereisnosinglecorrect
answer.Learnersuseinformationtobuildtheirownideasandconnectlearningacrosssubjectareas.

Learnershavecontroloverwhattheylearn.LearnersdemonstrateevidenceofCommonCorealignedlearningtargetsand
demonstrateproficiencyduringourbiweeklysummativeassessments.Learnersformthreepersonteamseverytwoweekstoset
goalsandsupporteachotherbeforethesummativeassessments.Themostrecentassessmentwillevaluatestudentproficiency.
