sacrificed in the war with a massive damages. The German had surrendered to the Allies and
agreed to sign the Treaty of Versailles. Germany paid more than 55 billion dollars for in
reparation and was later bankrupted. Later, the German had arise from the crisis and was back
forthethroneofempirewithaleadingofamannamedAdolfHitler
Adolf Hitler was a leader of Nazi Party, Chancellor of Germany, and a German
politician. He later starttheprojectcalledHitlerYouthwiththebeliefthatthe futureofGermany
and the Nazi Party are depended on the next generations children, stating that: the weak must
be chiselled away. I want young men and women whocansuffer pain.AyoungGermanmustbe
as swift as a greyhound, as tough as leather, and as hard as Krupps steel(History Learning

girls. All of the boys will be trained and prepared for a military services, while the girls
organisation was to preparing them for motherhood. A boysabovetheageof10hadtotesttheir
military athletics, such as marching, bayonet drill, grenade throwing, trench digging, map
reading, gas defence, shooting, crawling under a barbed wire, etc. A girls at the age above ten
had to be able for a 60 meters run in 14 seconds, throw a ball 12 meters, 2 hour marching, 100
metersswimming,makingbed,etc.
Everyday, boys had to train the military services and prepared for them to become a
soldier, while a girls had to promote a propaganda and finding more people to join the Hitler
Youth. To make the members away from depression, they also added the new structure such as
activities to the part of training. An activities of a boys was a hide and seek game called
Trapper and Indian. They also played a wargame where theywillbedividedintotwogroups
and each group will have their own color arm bands. To win the game, they have to hunt the
enemies and rip off all of the enemies arm bands. By these activities, they believed that it will
maketheweakestonebecomesmorethough.

On may 8, 1945, the Hitler Youth joined the support line with German soldiers against
the French and American. It was the final battle of Word War II. The German took a heavy
losses and many members of Hitler Youth were killed. General Helmuth Weidling had
commanded to retreat all of the forces, but some of Hitler Youth members were still remain in
fight while all of the German soldiers were run back to Berlin. At the end, The German
surrendered against Allies and the Hitler Youth project was later disbanded by Allies point of
viewthattheprojectwascorruptingthemillionsofyoungGermanslives.
