MICROBIOLOGY

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
Salient Features

Zoology as a subject is multi-disciplinary in nature, involving

study of organisms, their genetic, morphological and
physiological attributes in surrounding environment and
their role in the conservation of environment. The prime
focus of the Department of Zoology is to impart knowledge
about major disciplines of Zoology and teach different
methods of exploration, investigation, organization of data
and its utilization in practical life. It seeks to develop the
scientific culture and professional skills in the students to
serve in different professions in national and international
organizations.

The Department of Sociology aims at developing among the students a

demonstrated ability to understand structures and functions of social
institutions. It provides an elaborate comprehension of the links between
social, economic, political, cultural and ecological aspects of our everyday
life in a changing global world. The students, therefore, acquire the skills to
develop a greater appreciation and understanding of diverse worldviews
and social practices. In addition, the programme of study offers the students
an extraordinary opportunity to transform the way they think and act in
their social life; acquaints them with basic sociological concepts and
principles; equips them with sociological research methods and application
of computer in sociological research; enhances their understanding about
important social problems at the national and international level; and
enables them to apply sociological knowledge for analysing various social
situations
