FOREWORD
This standard is one of a series of standards being issued for implementation
of BIS Steel
Economy Programme.
These steel are specific class of steel in which enhanced mechanical
properties are obtained by the incorporation
of low proportions
of one or more alloying
elements.
These steels are generally intended for applications
where saving in mass may be
effected by reason of their greater yield strengths.
