Answer to Task 1 Question 01
1. Temperature of the environment
The temperature of the environment shall significantly affect towards the comfort level of the
occupants. The temperature of the environment may vary location to location and based on the desired
comfort level of each occupants.
Temperature of the internal environment can be controlled by the use of the following methods.
Air conditioner
Ventilation
Thermal insulated walls (walls with air gaps)
2. Illumination
Illumination is the amount of lighting which requires by the occupants to carry out their day to day
activities and the same could be achieved by the following methods.
Artificial Lighting (LED, Fluorescent Lighting etc)
Natural Lighting (Day light)
3. Sound levels
Sound transfer between occupational units of the building requires to be controlled to maintain
privacy of occupants, for which the following methods could be used.
Acoustic panels
Sound proof paints
4. Ventilation
Ventilation is an essential aspect that requires to provide fresh air circulation within the building and
shall enable to provide fresh air for the respiration of the occupants. The following methods can be
used for the ventilation arrangements.
Natural Ventilation Arrangements.
Mechanical Ventilation Arrangements.

5. Architectural Appearance
Architectural appearance is referred as the physical appearance of the building which shall affect the
occupants in terms their performance and mental relaxation.
