PREFACE
The report documents the work done during the summer internship at IDBI Bank Ltd.
Under the supervision of prof. Nisarg Joshi.
The summer internship project has been introduced by Gujarat Technological University
for elaborate practical study.
The report first shall give an overview of the task completed during the period of
internship .then the result obtained shall be discussed and analyzed.
I have tried my best to keep report simple yet technically correct. I hope I succeed in my
attempt.
The project word about the work is small piece of research work in various. Aspects of
the training at various level of the bank.

I would, at the very Honest, like to thank Mr. Hoshang Guard(Assistant Manager) & Ms.
Bhavana Nagarkar (Assistant General Manager), and Mr. Sumit Anand,(Branch
manager), Himatnagar branch IDBI Bank. For providing me the opportunity to perform my
Summer Internship Program in the Bank.

I, would like to, give special thanks to Mr. Vaibhav Kapoor, & Mr. pramod Sharma
for mentoring and providing the necessary data and information as and when required
though out the project. Their support and encouragement has been a source of inspiration for

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Banking Industry which is basically my concern industry around which my project has to be
Revolved is really a very complex industry. The project titled A STUDY ON CUSTOMER
PROFILE OF RETAIL BANKING SPECIAL REFERENCE TO IDBI BANK was
basically a research based project. The main motive
Behind doing this project is to
know the industry,
Have an overview of customer profile towards Retail Banking,
Know the different products available for retail banking by the bank, current situation and
problems and their solutions.
My project was totally based on primary data. The project started with studying the various
products of IDBI Bank. This was done thoroughly in order to understand about retail banking
and which products do it covers.
My next step was to come out of the bank and especially I worked The Study on Customer
profile of Retail Banking. My basic objective was to find out what is the scope of Retail banking
with credit card product. And knew that what customer profile of Retail Banking at IDBI Bank.
My main findings through this project were that there is huge market to know about the
customers and those profiles. I did a survey on customer profile of retail banking at IDBI Bank
through the filling of the questionnaires.
