Evaluation:
Tests & Quizzes
Tests and quizzes will be announced ahead of time.
On average, there will be one test at the end of each major topic
studied. Students are expected to study on their own time everyday
and are invited to ask any questions regarding the material before the
test/quiz date. Students will write the assessment piece on the day
scheduled, unless they have called in to the office ahead of time, or
have made arrangements with the teacher. Any student that has an
excused absence will write the test the day that they return.
Worksheets & Assignments
Each student will be given a work booklet with each unit that contains
a variety of worksheets and assignments. You are expected to
complete these as they are assigned and are expected to come to
class prepared. They will be graded according to difficulty and length of
each individual assignment. Specific requirements and details of each
assignment will be explained as they arise.
Labs and Projects
Labs/Experiments - Various experiments will be conducted throughout
the term. Experiments will be done in groups, but each student must
complete an individual lab report.
Projects - You will have 3 4 major projects that you will complete
throughout this course. ALL must be completed in order to be
considered for credit in the course. Due dates for the projects will be
announced well in advance and the projects will be due at the
beginning of the class on the due date.

All assignments, laboratories and projects are due at the

beginning of the class on the announced due date.

The Final Exam

The final exam will take place at the end of the semester. It will be a
cumulative exam, meaning that everything is examinable from day 1
to the last day. Exam schedules will be posted closer to the exam date
