Scope of Work for Geo-Technical Investigation

A) SOW for Geo-Technical Investigation

1. Mobilization / Demobilization of plant, equipment, machinery and


personnel at site.
2. Drilling 100mm to 150 mm diameter borehole and performing Standard
Penetration Test at 1.5m interval in all type of strata and in all rock
formation with core recovery up to 20%, met within the borehole.
a. Collection of disturbed and undisturbed Soil sample and performing
various Lab Tests like Grain Size Analysis, Hydrometer Analysis, Atterberg
Limits, Tri-axial Shear Test (UU), Natural Moisture Content, hardness,
Specific Gravity and Bulk Unit Weight, Consolidation Test, Unconfined
Compression Test, Free Swell Index, Shrinkage Limit, Swell Pressure Test,
Slake Durability etc. Including preparation of soil reports with SBC
recommendation in two copies.

3. Perform plate load test to calculate bearing capacity on the basis
settlement.
SBC Recommendation at depth = 1m, 1.5m, 2m, 3m
Number of Tests =
1Nos. for every 12.5 Acres of land
4. Electrical Resistivity Test (1 Nos. At every Switchyard/Substation location)
5. Submission of location Map, Geological Maps in two copies with respect
base hand GPS point of borehole location.
6. Submission of report recommending foundation 300mm dia short pile and
isolated footing.

B) SOW for TOPOGRAPHICAL SURVEY

1. Mobilization & demobilization of Personnel & equipments.


2. Boundary Demarcation of
acres land using DGPS/Total Station
3. Detailed Contour survey of land using Total Station, fixing magnetic north,
true north, showing all permanent Features, structures, taking spot levels,
preparation of contour plan @ 0.5 m contour interval .
4. Magnetic Inclination/declination.
5. Submission of final contour report showing Cross sections at @50m
intervals along E-W & N-S directions in editable Auto CAD format.
C) SOW for Pull Out Tests
1. Mobilization & demobilization of Personnel & equipments.
2. Perform Pull out tests in Dry (
nos) & wet (
nos) (keeping wet with
water for 3 days)
D) SOW for Chemical Analysis with respect to Steel & RCC Corrosion
1. Mobilization & demobilization of Personnel & equipments.
2. Following chemical tests for Soil shall be performed at lab (3 nos
of samples)

Note: Recommend whether Steel Concrete Pile-C (while lying inside


ground for 25 years)
Will corrode or not.
3. Following chemical tests for Water shall be performed at lab (3
nos of samples)

Total Dissolved Solids
Floride
Nitrate
Alkalinity
Turbidity
Note: Recommend whether water is suitable for drinking or not.
