The NI Biomedical Imaging Lab provides an environment for integrating imaging with
instrumentation for a variety of Biomedical Engineering applications such as Cell Counting, X-
Ray Image Analysis and Microscope Imaging. National Instruments' highly integrated tools
increase productivity in the development of Biomedical Imaging applications.
The NI Biomedical Imaging Lab provides hardware, software and a complete set of
accessories required to perform on-line analysis of samples and images for closed loop
monitoring and control.
The NI Biomedical Imaging Stand comprises of portable, embedded imaging tools. These tools enable
fast and compact real-time imaging on a wide variety of samples and imaging scenarios
The Stand also includes the NI Vision Development Module. The algorithms provided in this Module
enables classification of images based on feature extraction and BLOB analysis
The NI Vision Development Module provides commonly used image processing algorithms including
image reconstruction, multi-modal imaging, image analysis and visualization, object extraction, content
extraction and pattern recognition
NI LabVIEW supports both online and offline image processing. Support is provided to import different
image formats and apply image processing algorithms to interface with multiple imaging devices
The Stand allows you to teach principles and algorithms for processing deterministic and random signals,
imaging, filtering, coding, feature extraction and modeling. It provides practical experience in processing
physiological data, with examples from cardiology and medical imaging
