The goal of our project is to build awareness about the struggle for ethnic studies
in Tuscon, Arizona and the history of African American History classes in
Philadelphia. This project is also an opportunity for you to show me and your
classmates your understanding of this past weeks unit.
Choose one of the following project options. You may work individually or in a
group of 2 or 3.
1. Write a magazine article about ethnic studies in Tuscon, Arizona and the
establishment of mandated African American History classes in Philadelphia.
2. Create a brochure that describes the use of and the current state of ethnic
studies in Tuscon, Arizona and the establishment of mandated African
