Calibration of
magnetic instruments

Along with the supply of conductivity

reference standards for on-site calibration
of eddy current testers, MMS have facilities to
characterise the electromagnetic properties of
materials under stress or temperature to support
development and optimisation of NDT systems.

Magnetic sensors, magnetometers and

magnetic field meters calibrated for static
fields from less than 1 nT to several tesla or up
to frequencies of 120 kHz. Select calibrations can
also be performed at temperatures ranging from
-50 C to +170 C.

of materials can be measured by the
solenoid or comparator methods and reference
standards can be supplied for calibration
of permeability meters.
