In honour of Rodeo/Fall Fair Days

over the Labour Day weekend, the
Courthouse Art Gallery is looking for
work reflecting Nicola Valley Life. The
medium is open: drawings, sculpture,
pottery, fabric art, and photography. All
work must be appropriately presented
for display and only original art will be
accepted. Anyone can submit their work
for review, but there will be a quality expectation. Artists need to be a member of
the Nicola Valley Community Arts
Council to submit work, only $10 yearly.
Gallery hours are Thursday, Friday &
Saturday, noon until 6pm. Work will be
accepted during these hours until Thurs.,

This Thursday, August 11th, is Dairy

Queens Children's Miracle Treat Day
when all proceeds from all DQ Blizzards
sold that day will go directly to the BC
Children's Hospital.
Merritt Dairy Queens Swarn Sekhon
is inviting everyone to please help them
beat last years local record of $7200.
Childrens Miracle Network raises
funds and awareness for 170 member
hospitals, 14 of which are in Canada. Donations raised on Miracle Treat Day fund
critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and research to benefit the children receiving
lifesaving treatment at the BC Children's
Hospital in Vancouver.
