MATHEMATICS

2.1. MATHEMATIC COMPETENCY TEST

Mathematics competency test is held in the first meeting of
Mathematics subject. Every Grade 9 students should join this competency
test. The purpose of this test is to measure the students ability and
knowledge about basic Mathematics that they should master from very
basic Mathematics level until at least Grade 8 Mathematics material. The
test will be in 40 numbers of questions and Mathematics teacher for
Grade 9 is the one who make this test.
This test will be for 120 minutes in multiplication form of test. And
after we get the result of the test, we have to analyze it and give those
information in a print out paper for every students. And a meeting with
every Grade 9 students parents will be scheduled so that they know the
basic performance of their son/daughter toward Mathematics subject. And
further we will have a good relationship and cooperation in the program
that the school provided. Every parents will get every information about
their children and have to support also control their children at home. This
test result also open the parents mind about their children actual
performance especially in Mathematics. And below we provide a sample of
the competency test.

2.3. MATHEMATICS EXTRA LESSON

Mathematics extra lesson is held before and after school schedule.
In this time the learning focus on the Mathematics National Examination
Indicators and every extra lesson meeting will mastery every indicators. In
extra lesson time, there are combine, study group by level, and Math Try

Out. In combine, we study for all Grade 9 students, in study group level,
they study by their level, and in Math Try Out preparation, they will
practice Mathematics National Examination. We provide the schedule and
attendance below.

You can go to the next level if you pass the test with the minimum score, 95 for
every level. If you dont pass the test with minimum score, you will stay at the
same level until you get it. And the test will be given minimum once a week in
math study group.

2.5. MATHEMATICS CLINIC

This program is offer for every Grade 9 students with special need
especially in Mathematics. Mostly the student who join this program have
problem with their study especially study with many students which mean
make them not consentration. So, they need special time to make them
understand better. Time schedule for Mathematics Clinc is after school
time and locate at school. And students with Mathematics Clinic program
should have a meeting with Grade 9 Mathematics teacher for explanation

why their children shoul follow this program and for decide the fix
schedule between the teacher and the student.

2.6. TRY OUT PROGRAM

In this program, school going to determine the schedule for Grade 9
students to get a National Examination simulation program to make them
ready for the real National Examination. In every Try Out, the result will be
reported to their parents so that they can see their children performances
from time to time. Try Out schedule is as follow:

2.7. ACADEMIC CALENDAR

Before we show the academic calendar for Grade 9, we will show
you the Grade 9 school schedule to show you how many school hours we
will spend for Mathematics teaching and larening in school hours. In Grade
9 we make a speciality especially for Mathematics, we make it into 8
hours (an school hour equal to 40 minutes). And we just have once a week
of Mathematics meeting.
