Introduction about TOYO Company


TOYO group of Industries was set up in Gujranwala as a latest manufacturing unit of plastic
furniture in 1995. It started its operations with manufacturing of plastic furniture. The company
has specialty on the manufacturing of plastic furniture like chairs and tables at its initial stage.
From 1995 to 1999, TOYO group of industries were working together but in 2000, one member
of TOYO was separated and appeared as its competitor in the market with the brand name of
BOSS. TOYO simply took it as a challenge, undeterred by the attendant initial difficulties.
It is a pioneering achievement of Mr. Chaudary Iftihar Ahmed, the founder and life time
chairman of the Company that his determined efforts finally crowned with success. The TOYO
project not took off under his dynamic policies but also registered a phase of rapid growth and
expansion, capturing a major part in the countrys markets. Presidents slogan is, No
compromise on quality. So, Plastic products today are not only identical with Top Quality
products but also an identification symbol for TOYO group of Industries Ltd.
At the beginning of establishing the TOYO, The TOYO people consider FOUND
LASTING TOYO as the long-range aim and sale the excellent and superb washing machines
to domestic and even all of country constant pursues aim. We win the deep trust from our
customers with our good faith # sincerity and occupy the wide market for good quality
products. It takes only a few years. After manufacturing fine quality full plastic and steel plastic
furniture TOYO has become a professional washing machine manufactory. TOYO is also
an integrative enterprise, which integrates mould making plastic products & metal products into
a
TOYO people never satisfied with the gained achievements, they step to the higher goal.
Only under the base of continuous development, innovate and follow update, meantime, firmly
take root in the soil of the market the company will have permanent resident foreground.

TOYO always focuses on product quality. During the design and production procedures,
the ISO9001 International Quality Control System and American International Award have
strictly monitored it. Additional, TOYO in possession of a powerful & country wide after

PLANNING METHODOLIGIES:
Planning is one of the most important element for doing any activity. The CEO of TOYO group
of Industries says that they plan at every minute in order to achieve their Goals & for the
effective performance of their organization , covering all potential & economical situations.
TOYO group of Industries planned wisely and widely to cover all the aspects of the latest
market to compete the competition in the manufacturing field. Ch. Iftihar Ahmed, the CEO of
TOYO group of Industries said that they want to expand the range and style of products &
provides finest quality of TOYO INDUSTRIES to fully compete with the international
market. So they always keep in touch with their employees and gain up to date knowledge of
market conditions. Toyo manufacturing department duty is to know the consumers demand and
choice so they can planed according to them. Since from its beginning, TOYO group of
Industries want to polish themselves in every product they design and manufacture and they do
so by introducing new products time to time.

MARKETING AND FINANCIAL GOALS:


The marketing department of Toyo Industries promotes their products to increase the reputation
of their company in increasing rate. To achieve great progress in this regards, they promote their
products using different sources like T.V, news papers, radio, banners, Flex sign boards etc. to
increase in the awareness among the customers regarding the products, increase in sales
revenue, increase in the repetitive clients, enhancing the export level across the world. They
reserve a specific amount of money for marketing of their products.
TOYO Group of Industries use their own assets & capital & avoid using loans from the
outsiders ,to increase their investment & revenue margin so they they can achieve their goals
and give best competition in the market.

STRATEGIES & THEIR IMPLEMENTATIONS:


STRATEGY:
To achieve their mission, TOYO industries have planned to increase the number of their
products. From the starting of the business to till now they had introduced approximately 5
products in market. But in 2011 and 2012, they will introduce their own Air Conditions,
Microwave Oven, Cooking range. The cost and the expected profit are being estimated. The
promotional activities are made through posters and pamphlets and introductory samples are
represented. The staff hiring strategies and marketing strategies are planned.

IMPLEMENTATION:
After planning they organize the activities like which kind of people are required and the
process that would be controlled by them under which situations are being handled. They are
hiring more efficient staff and mangers for implementation of strategies they have planned.
They build a new plant and install new imported machines for manufacturing of their latest
products.

EVALUATION:
TOYO now start working on its new project. They invest a specific amount of money on it and
also they have imported the latest machinery in to their organization for manufacturing the
products.

CUSTOMERS & ITS COMPETITORS:


CUSTOMERS:
TOYO mainly focus on groups of customers who express their ideas and opinions about their
needs and views on different products. Due to high quality and extreme standard, TOYO group
of industries has a wide range of customers and dealers not only in Pakistan but also the
products have high demand in the foreign market, e.g. Afghanistan, Korea, Saudi Arabia,
Kuwait, South Africa and England. Mr. Chaudary Iftihar Ahmed, the Chief Executive of TOYO
Industries said that he is not just focusing on the local market alone he also understands the
importance of exports as well. The customer range of TOYO is more in Afghanistan and low in
England as compared to Gulf and Middle East.

COMPETITORS:
TOYO group of industries are established in 1995 producing plastic furniture at that time. It
worked for 5 years with his partner. But in year 2000, due to some reasons one part of TOYO
separates from it and appears as competitor in the market with the brand name of BOSS.
Super Asia and Citizen also the major competitors of TOYO industries. The CEO of TOYO
said that they keep their margin level low in order to keep the customers in touch, establish the
great position in the market continually and receive positive response from the customers.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:
The formal arrangements of jobs within the organization is known as Organizational Structure.
Jobs are arranged within the organization according to the following manner:

Work Specialization:
It refers to the the process in which task & goals are divided into sub-divided departments.
In TOYO group of industries, job are properly divided into sub-divided departments according
to their abilities & skills. Every job is divided into further steps performed by each individual.
For example in production department those people are working who are highly skilled and in
sales department those people are working who are fully confident and have ability to handle
sensitive situations regarding sales matters. Due to this division , TOYO performed their jobs
efficiently & effectively.

FORMAL STRUCTURE:

Organizations have a formal structure which is the way that the organization is organized by
those with responsibility for managing the organization. They create the formal structures that
enable the organization to meet its stated objectives.
Often these formal structures will be set out on paper in the form of organizational charts.

DEPARTMENTALIZATION:
In TOYO there are five Departments in which works or individuals are grouped
together. They are as follow:

PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT:
This department tells us about the capacity & amount of the products produced in organization.
In TOYO group of Industries, people are highly efficient & skilled who knows that how a
product is produced in how much quantity

MARKETING DEPARTMENT:
Marketing department sets the goals regarding the manufacturing of the products. In TOYO, the
employees duty in this department is to analyze the market demand and report to their head
according to it and also they promote of their products through media to the ordinary people.

SALES DEPARTMENT:
Sales department involves selling the products. It is divided according to the domestic and
international level. The duty of this department is to selling the products to their clients and to
the market to their customers or dealers.

HUMAN RESOURCE DEPARTMENT:


HRM is the department which determines the employees performance, their participation in the
work, incentives allotment to employees and other employees related matters.

CORPORATE DEPARTMENT:

Corporate Department determines the Sales of the Organization. In TOYO Group of


Industries, the employees works efficiently to evaluate the Sales related matters.

interactions between the members of the organization. This informal structure may be different
from that which is set out on paper.

DECISION MAKING PROCESS:


Decision making is one of the most & prominent factor in the progress of any organization.
Directors & managers take decision rationally & logically & also carefully defined the
problems & find their alternatives.
In TOYO, managers are very much rational & logical while taking the decisions to maximize
the organizations interest. In TOYO, there is as such no structural problems but sometimes
organization faces some kind of un-structural problems which are usually related to technical
issues. To overcome these issues, organization has some technical & trained persons. They
adopt Behavioral decision making in operational decisions and apply analytical decision in the
expansion.
In TOYO, decision making takes place by the Directors & upper level Manages. Lower level
employees carry out all the orders of the board of directors for the better performance of the
organization.

ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE:
Nothing is more certain than change The ability to manage that change effectively, especially in
any organization, is critical. The effects of change can be negative or positive.
In TOYO, Organization manage change most effectively when alert to its impact upon staff.
They establish an environment of trust through open-door policies, tools allowing two-way
feedback and most importantly the willingness to listen non-defensively to all feedback, even
when critical. They first assess employee knowledge and skill level to determine their readiness
for change. If they found wanting, then they first give appropriate training setions to meet the
demands of the new change or innovation. They try to processes new skills among the
employees. They give rewards to their employees so that their employees can be motivated.

CENTERALIZATION AND DECENTRALIZATION:
Decision-making is about authority. A key question is whether authority should rest with
senior management at the centre of a business (centralized), or whether it should be delegated
further down the hierarchy, away from the centre (decentralized).in an organization every
employee must have the right to share their ideas and view on any matter and then decisions are
made by selecting best points.
In TOYO, mostly decisions are made by CEO along with the senior employees by holding
meetings

FORMALIZATION:
Formalization is the extent to which rules and procedures are followed in an organization. In
TOYO, many rules have been made by the organization for their worker regarding their jobs
that what to do and how to do. Workers or Employees follow these rules in order to contribute
their efforts in achieving the organizational goals. These rules also show how employees were
rewarded for their jobs.

DEMOCRATIC STYLE:
The democratic leadership style consists of the leader sharing the decision-making abilities with
group members by promoting the interests of the group members and by practicing social
equality.
. In TOYO Leadership Style is democratic. Group Discussions are being held in which
employees share their ideas & views. However, guidance & control by a specific leader is still
practices in the organization to obtain the best results in the organization.
