Reflection
My introduction to humanities class was one that not only helped me think critically, but
it also educated me on how to work professionally. At the start of this course I had little to no
knowledge about the concepts that were instructed over the course of the semester. These
concepts were about equality, freedom, happiness, and love. Some of these topics are sensitive
subjects to talk about, which is why I loved this class. I loved it because of how sensitive some
of these subjects are, they are hardly ever mentioned in any other classes, and to finally be
learning about some of them in greater depth was exciting. I now have a greater understanding of
all these subjects. Now that I have a greater understanding of these subjects, I can now apply the
knowledge that I gained from this class into the real world and help make a difference in peoples
lives.
My biggest accomplishment in this classroom was how I civically engaged within my
community and to also be a helping hand to those in need of help. It made me aware of the things
that go on outside of my little world, things that I was never aware of. It also educated me on all
the different cultures that are out there and how all of them are of equal value. The best part
about this is that I was able to make new friends along the way. It was a nice experience. The
time that was spent in this class was well worth my time and a journey that is worth to remember.
