Fourth Grade Spelling Activities

Dear Parents,
The Spelling Activities sheet is an excellent opportunity for your
child to reinforce literacy skills through choice. Each week your
child chooses three activities to complete and turn-in on
Friday. Please keep this information for use each week.
*I really encourage that students type their words. Any of the
activities listed can be completed digitally on a computer and
printed.

Your Child Should:

1. Work at their own pace. This weekly assignment is designed
for busy families that enjoy choice and flexibility. Waiting
until Thursday to complete all three assignments, however,
is not a good idea.
2. Make sure assignments are completed on computer paper
and/or notebook paper. Work should be left inside the
spelling section of your binder.
3. First and last names, name of the assignment, along with the
date should be on all three sheets.
4. Please staple the work neatly in the upper left hand corner.
5. Be neat, this should reflect their very best work.
6. Parents check over the work for accuracy and neatness.
7. Work is due on Friday. If work is turned in Monday, partial
credit will be given. No work will be accepted after Monday.
Work reflects only the spelling words not the challenge or
vocabulary words.
8. Have fun and be creative!!

Thanks you,
Mrs. Olligschlager
