Dear Praying Friends, May 2010

We are excited about the future of ministry in Latin America. We believe Christians in that region are playing
an indispensable role in world evangelism and that role will increase in the coming years. Given that excitement
about Latin America we are thrilled to announce that Tim has accepted a new position, that of Latin America
Region Director with Converge Worldwide- International Mission.
We are grateful for the 29 years of ministry with ReachGlobal in Lima, Peru as church planters, field leader,
area director and now with ProMETA. Our closest friends are in ReachGlobal and we look forward to
maintaining those relationships although our roles will be different. We have a commitment to pray for
ReachGlobal and give support to missionaries who are doing an outstanding ministry. We hope ReachGlobal’s
ministry will prosper and grow, reaching its vision of influencing 100 million people for the Gospel.
Keith Anderson, the director of ProMETA, has asked Tim to continue to teach courses with ProMETA as he is
available. We are convinced that ProMETA is vitally important in raising up a new generation of leaders for the
Latin American church. ProMETA is currently made up of missionaries from many agencies and Tim’s role
with Converge Worldwide- International Mission will help it expand its influence in the region by making new
contacts with students and recruiting missionaries from Converge. His continued role with ProMETA will be
worked out in the months ahead but it is his desire to continue to serve with this ministry.
Debbie will begin a new phase of her counseling ministry when we return to Lima in early August. She
graduates May 8 from Wheaton College with a Master’s in clinical psychology. Andrea will be a junior at the
International Christian School of Lima.
Many of you have stood by us for all the years in our work in Lima and many other parts of Latin America. We
