SUMMARY OF MASTERS THESIS

My dissertation work was to make a mathematical simulator of LTE-Advanced network for
throughput calculation at enodeB and UE with most of the features that are specified in
different research papers. Dissertation work includes the application of different power
control algorithms in femto cells to reduce interference for macro users and to increase
throughput for macro users in the coverage area of femto cell, different fractional frequency
reuse mechanisms used to reduce interference, co-ordinated multipoint mechanisms used to
increase throughput for edge user and then to calculate throughput after signaling overhead
reduction. The output of this work can help in getting approximately practical results for
throughput calculation at different distances. It is basically the mathematical performance
analysis of LTE-Advanced network.

I am currently working in Vihaan Networks Limited, Gurgaon, India as Baseband Engineer
(modem R & D) in physical layer software development (L1) for LTE, GSM, GPRS, EDGE since
1st July 2014. Till now worked on channel estimation, modulation in GSM, PRACH encoding
decoding, block coding, channel coding, rate matching, modulation, layer mapping and
precoding, PSS encoding,SSS encoding,PBCH encoding,PDSCH encoding in LTE, correlation in
time domain and frequency domain, algorithm design analysis and coding.My motivation for
Phd is my interest to do research in 5th Generation wireless communication and to
understand the depth of wireless communication so that i can get patents in the field of
wireless communication and achieve egde over others in this field. I did my M.Tech in
Electronics and Communication Engineering with 72.85%, PG diploma in wireless technology
and applications with A grade, and my B.tech in Electronics and Communication
Engineering with 73.64%. I have knowledge of C language,MATLAB, and DSP, I did several
projects on wireless communication, first one is my masters thesis work Design and
simulation of LTE-A network using macro cell and femto cell in an urban area environment,
second project is power saving in small cells using heuristic algorithm, third is performance
analysis of optical wireless communication system, fourth is my pg diploma project radio
frequency based railway signalling systems, fifth is my b.tech project laser based
communication system, and several other projects in my b.tech.
