• 18 Years Management/ Supervision Experience as Distribution Superintendent
and Engineering Technician. Supervise between 3 to 14 employees of various
positions.
• Responsible for all Engineering Department activities. Design, Prepare contract
documents for bidding, provide construction inspection, budgeting, WCDOH
filing of new projects, review subdivision plans.
• Direct appointment as Westchester Joint Water Works’ Safety Coordinator.
• Distribution System Operator in Responsible Charge with the Westchester County
Department of Health.
• Responsible for long term planning of Capital Improvement Projects: prepare
estimates, determine contract specifications, review bidding, award contracts,
monitor progress and costs of projects, ensure quality control and prepare final
billing to member municipalities.
• Negotiate and reconcile contract extras and disputes with contractor.
• Responsible for providing and implementing a bidding process for maintenance
items such as brass and water main materials, permanent paving, cold patch
macadam, K-Crete and Item 4.
• Responsible for company record keeping: plans, water mains, services and
hydrants including flow data, maintenance and repairs of hydrants.
• Maintain system map books and intersection sheets for all mains and services
for all communities including transmission mains and interconnections.
• Supervise collection of water samples for bacteriological testing on Capital
Improvement Projects.
• Perform fire flow tests to determine system strength for fire fighting.
• Responsible for the leak survey and the hydrant flushing program.
• Coordinate hydrant painting by Municipality.
• Review and approve new and upgraded water service applications.
• Review and approve backflow devices, plans and hydraulic calculations.
• Supervise after hours emergency on-call personnel.
• Experience with inventory control and security.
• Responsible for sizing water meters to accommodate flow demand.
• Provide statistical data to Water Works Manager for service cost price increases.
• Gather data for Annual Report and provide to Water Works Manager.
• Analyze and provide revenue data to Manager for fire hydrants and fire services.
