Sim Rack
Usage
1. To launch the Sim Rack Manager, click on icon
2. Use vertical scrolling bar to review the list of Sim Rack
IRON family products can be deployed in a complex network architecture wherein certain elements of the architecture
are in private LAN behind a NAT firewall. Therefore, it is possible to configure two virtual IP addresses for a given Sim
Rack.
Example
A Sim Rack can be located in the same private LAN as the IRON SIM Server One thus to access the Sim Rack,
the IRON SIM Server one will use the private IP address from the Sim Rack while for those GSM devices
deployed in different locations, they will have to use the NAT public IP address from the Sim Rack. In such
deployment scenario, the primary IP address from the Sim Rack will be set to the real private IP address while
the secondary IP address from the Sim Rack will be set as the public IP address from location on the NAT
router
The Sim Rack application allows to list the Sim Rack currently defined in the IRON SIM Server One.

Usage
IRON products family allows an automatic registration mode from GSM Device, in this case there is no need to define the
GSM Device as it will automatically pre-register itself with proper information and wait for validation from an
administrator account.
It is useful for any GSM Device using a dynamic public IP address.
Read the following process in order to activate this mode on GSM Device:
1. Telnet to GSM Device: telnet <IP>
2. From telnet prompt, run: config /simserver then select 1

5. Accept the reboot and then wait for process to complete.
Once the GSM Device has rebooted, IRON SIM Server One lists automatically the GSM Device which is attempting the
connection. GSM Device appears as waiting for validation status. It must be validated (authorized) in order to be able to
get sim cards.
1. Launch the GSM Device application, click on icon
2. Double click on GSM Device with waiting for validation status, or click once on GSM device then click edit button
to get access to GSM Device settings
3. Set Country, Set Authorize Connection eventually adjust Sim Rack Mapping and then click save

Port Group
Usage
Port Group is a main feature from the system as IRON SIM Server One requires GSM Port Group for sim allocation.
The management of Port Group allows IRON SIM Server One to get rid of managing gateways as a single or multiple
entities. The GSM Port Group becomes a virtual GSM Device, from one port to thousands ports.
By managing GSM Port Group, IRON SIM Server One get advantage to split physical gateway ports in several independent
GSM Port Group or to regroup gateway by location or to dedicated a given amount of ports to provider and list of
provider and so many other customized options to fit and easy configure sim allocation.

then to click on BTS selection option.
A new window appears distributing up to 6 additional Cells.
Caution
If multiple GSM ports are selected then only the common cells are present on screen.
A consequence may be of reducing the number of cell available or even not showing at all any cells if
the selected GSM ports are from different sites
Warning!

Usage
1. Launch the HBS application, click on icon
2. Use vertical scrolling bar to review the list of HBS options
The HBS aka Human Behavior Simulator, intends to provide additional traffic to the termination traffic with
incoming/outgoing calls, incoming/outgoing SMS, calls to the SIM cards Voicemail service number, and to establish web
connections (with 3G gateways only): the goal of using the HBS feature is to give the SIM card a human being-like profile
of use.
In order to configure a HBS scenario the system will requires a minimum of information such as for example SMS text
messages to randomly select for sending, phone number to call or to get call and voicemail service numbers.
The HBS application is built around 4 mains TAB option:
Numbers List
Messages List
Web sites List
Scenarios
There is 2 other TAB option to be able to monitor HBS processing events:
Dashboard as statistics for the past events
Pending Events as list of events to be played
The main component SCENARIOS requires prior to be used to set at least one Number List and one Message List (if SMS is
being used). Voicemail remains optional.
The HBS Scenario is used from the system into the associated SIM Plan \ SIM Protection section:

The Number List you create is very important in order to provide the type of phone call as well as the ratio of phone type
numbers to dial.
Example:
Should you need to perform 20% Friend calls and 80% cross net calls, then you need to add once FRIEND PHONE
NUMBERS and 4 times PHONE NUMBERS CROSS NET.

Sim Plan
Usage
The Sim Plan Table provides the administrator the capability to create price plans. Sim plan are assigned to SIM cards of
the same provider, managed by the IRON SIM Server One.
Sim plans are highly recommended. Advantages of creating Sim plans are:
You can benefit from the automatic SIM card management by using sim plans.
For example: 9000 inclusive minutes have been assigned to a given SIM card. This SIM card will be automatically excluded
from the GSM device routing as soon as this time amount is used up.
Sim plans can be associated with automatic synchronization, activation, refilling and dedicated SIM protection.
You can create as many SIM plan for each Mobile Provider as you want.
Note
SIM PLAN allows DUPLICATION.
To duplicate a SIM PLAN, first select the SIM PLAN to duplicate from the SIM PLAN list then click DUPLICATE
button.
It is MANDATORY to change the SIM PLAN name before saving new duplicated SIM PLAN.

Allocation Rule
Usage
In the iQsim SIM management architecture, the IRON SIM Server One assigns SIM cards to specific port groups according
to the criteria defined in the associated allocation rule
Note
ALLOCATION RULES allows DUPLICATION.
To duplicate ALLOCATION RULES, first select the ALLOCATION RULES to duplicate from the ALLOCATION
RULES list then click DUPLICATE button.
It is MANDATORY to change the ALLOCATION RULES name before saving new duplicated ALLOCATION
RULES.
It makes easy to manage several same type of ALLOCATION RULES with different PRIORITY LEVELS settings
for example.
Mechanism
If a GSM port is empty, periodically the IRON SIM Server One will try to allocate a SIM. The IRON SIM Server One will
determine which allocation rule to apply based on two conditions:
The port group to which the given GSM port belongs.
The required time schedule, i.e. day of the week and time of the day.
Several allocation rules applicable for different time frames could be created for a given port group.
For example, two sets of allocation rules can be defined for a given port group: one for peak hours, another for off-peak
hours.
For a given port group, allocation rules with lower priority will only be applicable if those with higher priority have no SIM
cards available for allocation.

with Sim Card control at the same time.
The Service Controller avoid configuration from GSM device side, providing very fast deployment of all GSM device
on site, avoiding reconfiguration of GSM device at each site relocation and high control of all GSM port.
The Service Controller manage access to Mobile Number Portability database/service
The Service Controller records all CDR in system database
The Service Controller provides Blacklist and Whitelist as well as a powerful Dialer Control option to avoid hunting
