You are on page 1of 5

i have sunrizer and animoog plus ims20...

if i'd have to have 1 playable synth i;d

get sunrizer...then ims20...then animoog..that's my take anyhow!

Magellan, without a doubt.

Yonac Software :: Software :: Magellan

When you're ready for a couple more.

- TC-11 (expensive but definitely worth it)
- Animoog (seems it's become a 'standard' for ios musicians)

You can record inside Sunrizer Animoog and iMS 20 then copy and paste into
preferred sequencer. BeatMaker, NanoStudio, etc.

Alchemy Mobile is my favorite. It's expandable, can work as a controller for the
plugin if you have it, and yes, you can record parts with it.

Wavestation

check out also all the apps for performing like soundprism, morph wiz, hex osc,
konkreet performer. IMHO they are more interestting than the synths

As the Super Manetron hit iTunes today, I'm bringing this one back:

Moog Animoog
Super Manetron (assuming the company follows through on its iPad GUI update)
Sunrizer
Korg Polysix
Korg Electribe

SunVox (simple, but endlessly useful)

SpaceLab (great for nailing video game-via-Boards of Canada sounds)
SampleTank (though imperfect, it has any number of usable voices)
Figure (weirdly multifaceted for a one-trick beatmaker)
Sylo Synth (same deal as Figure, but for atmostpherics instead)

Animoog, Sunrizer, Polysix, and (provisionally) Super Manetron are my MVPs Manetron really does do the Mellotron sound exquisitely. Any cool stuff I'm
missing out on?

Just downloaded Super Manetron - seems really nice - looking forward to the
promised universal version, but the iPhone version seems to run fine on the iPad
for now. Audiobus support will hopefully be added too.

The new iGrand and iLectric apps are quite nice.

Samplr is an incredibly slick and nifty sampling app with a really amazing UI for
playing samples in different ways (really easy to take audio, break it up into
chunks and then play them in different ways - check out some youtube video
demos for an idea).

Would also mention (some of these are just good music apps/tools)
