From May2012 to june 2014 worked as a INSTRUMENT SUPERVISOR IN TATA STEEL (INDIA)

Roles and Responsibilities :

Loop testing of different types of transmitters, Pressure transmitters, Temperature

transmitters, Flow Transmitter, Differential Pressure Transmitter, Pressure
switches etc.

Read loop wiring diagrams, control schemes, relay logic diagrams as well as PLC
programs ,The Interpretation of P&ID, Instrument Location Plan, General Arrangement
&Layout Drawing, cable schedule, tray layout works, Hook up drawing for
Erection and Installation of all types of Instrument.

Checking of air supply, On-off Valves, control valves, solenoid operated valves, limit
switches, positioner, diaphragm, temperature indicator, transmitter, level sensor,
pressure gauge, level transmitter, RTDs, Thermocouples, Toggle Switches.PID Controller,
Temperature Controller ,Heater bank , EOT Cranes ,Different types of sensors & proximity
switches, Diode, Timer, SCR.

Assist in installation and commissioning of various in house projects including level

switches and level gauges, DP transmitters temperature switches and testing of
all types of thermocouples and Resistance Temperature Detectors, Electrical panel
designing and drawing, laying of communication and power cables etc.

Handle the tasks of supporting electrical/ instrumentation team on projects including

participation in project/drawing reviews, scope definition, equipment data review, cost
development and construction/startup support.

Responsible for all shift activities like handling of breakdowns ,shutdowns, Involved in dayto-day corrective, preventive maintenance of electronic/pneumatics control
instruments , individually and ensure that all maintenance works are carried out as
standard maintenance procedure, including maintenance and troubleshooting of several
machines like, Automatic Packing Line, Thermal Fluid Heaters, chilling plants,
compressors and A.C and D.C motors

Monitor electricity and utilities consumption(including, compressors, chilling plants

boilers, LT/HT Yard)and take necessary measures to reduce consumption in assistance
with Maintenance Manager.

Root cause analysis of breakdowns and to solve them using several six sigma
tools and techniques with an aim to reduce breakdown time in order to increase
production and reduce cost

Documentation for ISO Audits, Raising of purchase requisition via SAP, follow up with
purchase department and supplier, Preventive Maintenance Test Certificates, Spare
parts

Wear required PPE and follow safe work practices at all times. Follow all the SOP.
Report near misses / incidents. Participate in all activities relating to removal of hazards
in the work area.
