AccuCutter
The AccuCutter System
The AccuCutter System consists of separate modular components
which can be configured into custom systems to meet individual
process and environmental demands. The innovative and unique
features of the modular components combine to produce a system
that is superior in process performance, easier to maintain and
more flexible to use than any other commercially available laser
optical system on the market. An equally important feature is short
delivery time and reasonable cost.
Laser Mechanisms currently offers several hundred different
AccuCutter Systems in both par-focal and non par-focal configurations. If one that suits your needs cannot be made out of existing
stock, then our staff of experienced engineers will custom build a
new system to your specifications.
An attachment such as a vernier adjust
micrometer or air cylinder lift controls the
precise degree of extension of the slide

Gas Manifold Assembly distributes input

gas to cool and clean the focusing lens
prior to exiting the gas jet tip

Par-Focal
AccuCutter System
The Path Purge Adapter provides a
supply of clean, dry gas to prevent
condensation build up. It also encloses
the beam path

The Beam Bender provides a fully

adjustable means to divert the laser
beam through a 90 degree angle. Both
interlocked and non-interlocked versions
are available

Cutting Heads
Laser Mechanisms offers a wide selection of
cutting heads from which to choose. There are
par-focal and non par-focal heads, as well as
interlocked and non-interlocked versions. Focus
lengths vary from 2.5" to 10.0" to satisfy different laser applications. All heads are completely
modular and can be designed to fit your exact
needs.

Beam Benders
The Beam Bender bends the beam 90 degrees
and provides fine orthogonal 2 degree adjustment of the mirror about the beam axis. Removal
of the mirror for cleaning or replacement does not
affect adjustment. If necessary, the mirror can be
either liquid or air cooled. Both interlocked and
non-interlocked versions are available in English
or Metric sizes.

motion of the lens mounts and Gas Jets
from 2 to 10 inches

device with interlock. Available in a variety of styles to suit varying applications

Laser Mechanisms offers 45 different crash

protection devices to prevent damage to the system or workpiece in case of a crash situation. In
some set-ups, the head is designed to completely
break away in case of interference in the path of
the gas jet tip and in other designs a limit switch
shuts the system down when a certain amount of
tip deflection occurs.

without the need to realign

The Lens Manifold Block contains a slot for the

Lens Holder and provides two 80 pitch screws to
adjust the centering of the lens to the mechanical
axis of the cutting head. 1.5" O.D. lenses with
3.5", 5.0" or 7.5" focal length are standard.
Lens motion of .050" is possible and lens
diameters up to 6.0" are available.

Gas Jet Manifolds

Gas Jet Tips and Tip Retainers come in a

variety of lengths and styles for different
focal lengths and working conditions

The Gas Jet provides a means for primary gas

to be introduced through the tip and secondary
gas around the tip for gas assisted laser processes and lens protection. The unique internal
design minimizes jet turbulence and maximizes
the effect of laser cutting processes. The gas jet
tip is a separate, easily removable copper piece
held in place by a tip retainer nut.
