Lowline project
Implications
Public Realm improvements; Working viaduct; Marketing; extend to Bermondsey and Blue; proper use
of CIL money; Use of arches
Works involved
Cleaning brickwork; restore arches and Tunnels; improve footbaths

Team London Bridge get together invite for Forum, venue - Tanner & Co, 26 April.
Team London Bridge plan for St Thomas St reopening; TFL transport modeling system very complex and
expensive for us to adopt/use; main priority should be to reduce traffic when reopened; Possibility of
traffic increase in long lane in near future.
Policies
Deadline for each group to compile draft policies third week of June; Bankside draft ready and can be
used an example; decent website tool will be useful to coordinate policies of various working groups as
they take shape; consultation responses can be used to write policy of Housing where it is difficult to
find engagement; keep commutation responses as proof for examiner; Policies need to follow evidence
base e.g. Link with Councils document, existing evidence council can help, Southwark Planning Policy
evidence.
Extension of Neighbourhood Area (see map in next page)
Forum to apply to extend area to include Magdalen St, Bermondsey st upto tooley st, shand st, St Olaves
estate, Lewes house; in brief extend the boundary north of the railway viaduct such that it will now be
bounded by Bermondsey st in the north west, tooley st in the north and tower bridge road in the west;
members of BSAP and TLB had left before this agenda; others present voted in favour of the extended
area; reasons being that the character of the proposed extended area is more in sync with the character
and scale of Bermondsey st than the More London type developments on the other side of Tooley st,
also the extension area was originally part of the Forums earlier versions of the proposed neighbourhod
