USN9810
The USN9810 is our proprietary unified serving node. It can be used in the 2.5G General Packet
Radio Service (GPRS) system, 3G Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS), and
evolved packet core (EPC) system.
The USN9810 integrates the serving GPRS support node (SGSN) and the mobility management
entity (MME). It can provide functions of the SGSN, MME, or both, and is maintained using the
same operation and maintenance system (OMS) regardless of the provided functions.

Features
Large
capacity and high integration

The USN9810 uses a high-speed forwarding processor to forward data on the user plane, which
improves the processing efficiency and system integration.
Advanced ATCA platform
The USN9810 uses the Open Standard Telecom Architecture (OSTA2.0) hardware platform,
which is a server system featuring high density and high performance. The OSTA2.0 hardware
platform enables the USN9810 to provide reliable data processing services for carrier-class
telecommunications applications. A series of specifications related to boards, backplanes, and
software for the next generation telecom devices are stipulated based on the OSTA2.0 hardware
platform. The OSTA2.0 hardware platform is developed based on the ATCA standard
architecture and conforms to the network equipment building system (NEBS) and European
Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) standards.
High reliability
Automatic backup of critical data
The USN9810 automatically backs up important data, such as configuration data, performance
data, and operation logs.
Operation security
The USN9810 assigns different permission levels to different users and provides strict identity
verification mechanism. It also records operation details of users in the operation log, ensuring
the system security.
Hardware redundancy
All critical boards are configured to work in 1+1 backup mode to ensure high reliability of the
system.
Fault protection
The USN9810 can protect the system if any of the following exceptions occurs:

System power off

Misoperation on the system power switch

Lightning surge on the system power

High voltage and low voltage

Short circuit of the power supply

Over-current and over-voltage for power modules and interfaces

Overload control
When CPU overload and resource congestion occur, the USN9810 adjusts the traffic properly to
prevent system breakdown.
Board and process lock and system shutdown
If necessary, board processes and ongoing services can be gradually ended to avoid abrupt
service interruption.

Applications & Benefits

The flexible networking helps reduce the operational expenditure (OPEX) of operators.

The unified platform helps operators smoothly upgrade the network to reduce investment
risks.

The high performance and high integration help operators prevent traffic storms of
mobile broadband.

The high reliability helps operators easily cope with peak traffic.
