Thomson Prometric and VUE are two worldwide examining bodies that conduct online testing for all international
certifications. Once a Prometric or VUE testing centre is set up at an IIHT centre; students can register for the
exam (such as Cisco's CCNA) on a day and time of his/her choice and appear for the exam. The examinee gets a
unique ID number once he/she registers. At his/her pre appointed time, the student can log on for the exam using
the ID number. An objective type question paper is downloaded from the exam site and the same appears on the
screen. The student can key-in the answers. At the end of the allotted time period, the system stops accepting
the answers and the answers have to be uploaded to the exam site. The results of the exam appear as a printout,
through the printer attached to the system. If the candidate passes the exam, the results are communicated to
the Certifying IT Company (for example Cisco issues the CCNA Certificate to the candidate). Thus the student
can appear for any international certification exam through these testing centres and obtain a global certification
from any of the IT majors.
Assessment Management System is a similar online testing application exclusively available to the students at
IIHT centres, through which a student can get his/her IIHT certificate.
Placements through IIHT
IIHT has a three tier architecture for placements; Central Placement Cell (CPC), Regional Placement Cell (RPC)
and Local Placement Cell (LPC). The consulting division ensures placement in the IMS industry to every
successful passout of IIHT through the said architecture. Monthly job fairs are conducted at centers, through the
placement portal of IIHT and campus placements.

Center Personnel and their Roles


Center Director / Center Manager
Center Director is the principal of the center. He/She is accountable for the P&L of the center and is
responsible for achieving revenue and enrollment target set for the center. He/She is also accountable for the
quality of training delivered in the center.

Business Development Manager (BDM)


BDM is responsible for generating business at the center and should be able to manage all market
opportunity. He/she should carry out innovation and effective promotional activities. Overall he/she is
responsible for enquiry generation and conversion.

Counsellor
The counsellor is responsible for maximizing

Manpower recruitment and training assistance


IIHT will extend all its support to the franchisees in recruiting manpower. The manpower recruited will also be
trained by IIHT before they start to train.
Details of courses
IIHT will provide the list of courses offered. The courses will be modified and new courses would be
introduced depending on the need of the industry. If a franchisee feels that any particular course may
augment revenue, then IIHT will design the course and help the centre in launching the course.
Library recommendation
A library will be maintained at each centre. The list of books will be provided to each IIHT centre.
Course material
IIHT provides all the necessary course material to franchisees. Franchisees will distribute the courseware to
all the registered students free of cost. The course material has been designed based on industry trends and
the demands of the IT industry. All books and kits of IIHT are copyrighted. Reproduction or copying of IIHT
courseware in any manner is prohibited.
Examination and issuing of certificates
All examinations for the various courses will be conducted by IIHT. IIHT will provide all the centres with the
necessary software (IIHT interactive challenger) for conducting online examinations. The question bank for
the same will be prepared and sent to the franchisees by the corporate office.
