Course Title: (MATHEMATICS OF INVESTMENT)

Course Description
This course is designed to equip business students with the mathematical
skills needed to solve business problems. Topics include simple and compound
interest, discounts, annuity, amortization, sinking fund, depreciation, and bonds.
After completing the course the students will demonstrate mastery of the
concepts and principles of mathematics of investment which help them
understand the mathematical aspect of business.

At the end of the course, the students are expected to:
1. Demonstrate mastery of concepts on Mathematics of Investment.
2. Solve simple and complex mathematical business problems

4. Make sound decision/judgment concerning the mathematical aspects of business
5. Demonstrate attitudes of curiosity, perseverance and competence in ones work.
6. Demonstrate analytical and critical thinking skills in solving problems.
7. Demonstrate relevant values consistency, positive attitude& systematic
procedure in solving problems to synthesize proper analysis, organization and
evaluation.
8. Demonstrate appreciation the relevant applicability of mathematics in the
