Dawn of the Phoenix First League Rules:

Army Composition:

Players will create a single 2500 point army list to be used in all battles using the army
composition rules presented in the Warhammer Rulebook. This list cannot be changed from
battle to battle. The intent is to create a list that will be able to compete against multiple armies
and in multiple scenarios. We will use the honors system as far as lists
If a players list is found to be illegal, they will be required to change their army as little as
possible before their next battle to make it a legal list.

6. Battleline:
This round will be the
challenge round. After the
other battles have been
completed, starting with the
player with the lowest overall
League Scoring, players will
issue a challenge to a chosen
opponent. Players already
challenged cannot issue a
challenge and instead must
face their challenger.

Before the battles begin, each player will roll 2d6 and send the results to the league organizer.
The order of the rolls (either ascending or descending determined randomly) will determine the
armys number (1 through 6) and therefore, all battle matchups.

Scenario Special Rules:

The standard rules for each scenario will be used, with the exception of Blood and Glory and
Watchtower.
Blood and Glory:
In the Blood and Glory scenario, players will calculate their armys starting Fortitude using the
standard scenario rules (General +2, BSB +1, all other Banners +1). The Breaking Point rules will
not be used. Instead, players will play for 6 turns and will determine their armys ending fortitude
at the end of the battle. Players will then calculate their victory points for the battle as follows:
2500 Divided by Opponents Starting Fortitude Multiplied by Difference in Opponents Starting
and Ending Fortitude.
Round decimals to the nearest whole number. Ignore all bonus victory point conditions (slaying
general, capturing standard, winning a challenge, etc).
For example: Dave and Kyle play a Blood and Glory battle. Daves army has a starting
fortitude of 6 and an ending fortitude of 2; a difference of 4. Kyle would calculate his
victory points as: 2500 / 6 X 4 = 1667 Victory Points. Kyles army has a starting fortitude of
7 and an ending fortitude of 5; a difference of 2. Dave would calculate his victory points
as: 2500 / 7 X 2 = 714 Victory Points.
Note: The Intent of the Blood & Glory scenario is to have the General and Banners be the
primary factors in determining the victor. By implementing these rules, both the spirit of the
scenario and the Strength of Victory concept used in League Scoring are possible.
Watchtower:
All rules as given in the rulebook with one addition: A unit cannot enter the Watchtower
during the movement phase if another unit started the movement phase garrisoning
the Watchtower. Moving a unit out of the tower and another unit into the tower is too
much for one movement phase. Exception: If the Watchtower is only being garrisoned
by a single character or a unit of characters, a unit can join the characters, if it legally
is able to do so, by entering the tower. This new unit, with the characters, will be
garrisoning the Watchtower.
Before the battle commences, players should agree on how many floors the tower has (typically
3) and how many models on each floor may shoot out of the tower (typically 5 for normal floors
and 10 for open top floors).
Building Rules Reminders: (Not intended as a replacement for the rules as presented in the main
rulebook.)

awards 6 League points.

League Champion and Finale Battle:

League Points totals of the first five battle rounds will determine the order for the final challenge
round. Overall totals will determine League Champion; however that is not the end. After all
battles have been fought, a finale battle will be scheduled utilizing the League standings for
army bonuses and deployment order to determine the Finale Champion. Rules are yet to be
determined but may utilize the Triumph and Treachery multiplayer expansion among other
sources.
