COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The course covers current topics from a theoretical and practical viewpoint, including: strategic planning of
human resource management, recruitment and shortlisting of qualified workers, job description and analysis,
guidance and training, the process of employee performance, payments and incentives, hygiene, safety,
quality of life and Ecuadorian labor legislation in its most relevant articles.
Human Resource Management offers a global vision of the function of human resources, allowing students to
develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for fulfilling the responsibilities of human resource
management in the workplace at a professional level.

CONTRIBUTION OF THE COURSE TO THE EDUCATION OF THE STUDENT:


The professional in Human Resources will be assigned to carry out management, consultancy and technical
functions in the various processes of the field of Human Resources in private and public companies. Their
training will allow them to perform successfully in management and consultancy in all the techniques of human
resources; in some cases, such as recruitment and selection, contracts and remuneration, performance
evaluation, training and development, taking into account current labor law. Likewise, they will strengthen the
channels of communication needed by the company, especially so as to create, plan, administer, direct and
evaluate specific actions in their area of specialization. This course falls within the general parameters of the
degree course of Business Management, since the student will have to work on interpersonal skills which must
be well developed in order to take the right decisions when planning, organizing, controlling or directing an area
or department of human resources in any company or institution whether in the public or private sector.
