Academic Eligibility

1) Question : What is the minimum requirement in qualifying examination ?


Answer : Must have secured a minimum of at least 60% aggregate marks or 6.75 CGPA on a 10
point scale or equivalent grades in the qualifying examination.
2) Question : What is the entrance test required to apply for M. Tech and MBA through DASA?
Answer : GRE General Test is the entrance test for M. Tech and GMAT is used for MBA.
3) Question : What is the minimum score required in GRE and GMAT?
Answer : In GRE total score should be minimum of 1200 for M. Tech admission and in GMAT
600 out of 800 for MBA admission is required.
4) Question: How should I send my GRE/GMAT scores to DASA office?
Answer: You have to send the scanned copy of the score or copy of the GRE/GMAT score
Printed online along with the application form.
5) Question: How will this be verified at DASA office?
Answer: These scores would be verified (online) by the institute during your admission.

Residential Eligibility

Answer : copy of the passport issued by their respective countries

GRE
1) Question : What is GRE?
Answer : Individuals applying to graduate schools in order to pursue a Masters in Arts (MA) or
Science (MS) take the GRE (Graduate Record Examination). The test helps schools by
providing them with common measures for comparing the qualifications of applicants.
There are two types 1) The General Test 2) The subject Test
2) Question : Who conducts GRE?
Answer : The test is administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS), under the
sponsorship of the Graduate Record Examinations Board.

3) Question : What is GRE General Test?


Answer : The General Test measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and critical
thinking and analytical writing skills that are not related to any specific field of study.
4) Question : When can I take GRE?
Answer : The GRE is administered by computer year-round. To take it, schedule an appointment
at a test center near you.
5) Question : What is the pattern of the GRE scores.
Answer : Three scores are reported on the GRE General Test:

a Verbal Reasoning score reported on a 200 800 score scale, in 10-point


increments
a Quantitative Reasoning score reported on a 200 800 score scale, in 10point increments
an Analytical Writing score reported on a 0 6 score scale, in half-point
increments
Any section in which you answer no questions at all will be reported as a
No Score (NS)

GMAT
1. Question: What is GMAT?
Answer : The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is a 3-1/2 hour
standardized exam designed to predict how test-takers will perform
academically in MBA (Masters in Business Administration) programs. GMAT
scores are used by graduate business schools to make admission decisions

2. Question: How long are the GMAT scores valid?


Answer : The GMAT score is valid for five years; however most of the universities insist on

a GMAT score not more than 2-3 years old.Unfortunately, you must make the
decision to cancel at the testing center before you see your scores. In addition,
the fact that you cancelled your scores will be noted on your official GMAT score
report.

3. Question: What is the Content and Format of GMAT?


Answer : The test has three distinct sections: Analytical Writing Ability (AWA), Quantitative,
and Verbal. The Quantitative section has two types of questions, Problem Solving
and Data Sufficiency, mingled throughout the section. The Verbal Section has
three types : Sentence Correction, Critical Reasoning, and Reading
Comprehension; here too, the questions of each type appear in no set sequence.
There are a total of 78 questions, 37 in Quantitative (Including 9 Experimental
Questions) and 41 in Verbal. These have to be done in 75 minutes each.
4. Question : What is the Scoring Pattern in GMAT CAT?

Answer : The GMAT results comprise four different scores : a total score (which is the

combined verbal and quantitative scores), a separate Verbal score, a separate


Quantitative score, and an Analytical Writing score. The total score is
reported on a scale from 200 to 800.The Verbal and Quantitative Scores are
reported on a scale of 0 to 60. For the AWA score, the scale is from 0 to
6. Note that your AWA performance is not reflected in your total GMAT
score (on 800). You get to know your total, verbal, and quantitative score
immediately after taking the test. Official GMAT score reports, which
include the AWA scores, are mailed approximately two weeks after you take
the test and take another ten days or so to reach your address.

5. Question: How are the AWA evaluated?


Answer : The essays are scored in a range from 0 to 6. The ratings of the essay will be 6.0,
5.5, 5.0, 4.5, 4.0, 3.5, 3.0,2.5, 2.0, 1.5 and 1.0. The desired level is 5 and above.

6. Question: Can I cancel my scores?


Answer: Yes. You can cancel your scores immediately after you take the GMAT. This is the

only time you can cancel your scores. Unfortunately, you must make the decision to
cancel at the testing center before you see your scores. In addition, the fact that you
cancelled your scores will be noted on your official GMAT score report.

Refund
1) Question : When can I get my refund If I withdraw from the admission process?
Answer : After the admission process is fully over the refund will be processed.
