AUTOMATIC DETECTION OF TRAIN ARRIVAL THROUGH

AN ACCELEROMETER USING RF
ABSTRACT:
Objectives of this project is to develop an embedded system, which is a used to identify
the train arrival automatically using RF and MEMS sensor. This was implemented on
microcontroller developed board interfaced with RF transmitter, RF receiver, encoder and
decoder and MEMS sensor LCD displaying the data.

This Automatic Detection of Train Arrival project presents a new approach to establish a
wireless technology for the detection of train arrival. The project describes a radio frequencybased system for train identification and tracking. The basic design of the system consists of
transmitter attached with a MEMS sensor with the help of ADC. While a train is arriving near to
the embedded based MEMS board. Our mems will senses the movement in the track and sends
signals to the receiver section. At the receiver section a buzzer will gives an alarm for alert.

This project uses regulated 5V, 750mA power supply. 7805 three terminal voltage
regulator is used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac
output of secondary of 230/18V step down transformer.
