objective

To learn html and css coding in order to create a visually creative designed web page.

Process
First step of creating the web page, I designed a logo using the Adobe Illustrator program. Second, I
placed a .png file of the logo into html code. To code the html I used the TextWrangler program. I also
placed a background image taken from a Google Images search in the css code to make the design of the
page.

objective
To creat an event ad using Microsoft Word through unlocking many unused tools found within the
program.

Process
First I scanned an image into my computer from a magazine. I then placed the image into a Microsoft
Word document. After, I then placed text boxes within the document to place text. I changed the color of
the text in order to go with the color scheme of the motorcycle rider in the image. I also placed a turqoise
dot to cover an existing dot from the original image.

objective
The purpose of this project was to use the following Adobe programs to make a brochure: Illustrator,
Photoshop, and InDesign. This is to showcase the understanding of several of the Adobe design
programs.

Process
First I outlined a layout for the brochure in Adobe InDesign using the ruler lines to mark off the spots
where the brochure would fold. I then prepared an image in photoshop so that I could text wrap around
it. This image is on the back of the brochure (camper van). Then I added the background images and
placed the secondary images in afterwards. Then I added a logo that I created with Illustrator. Afterwards
I added the text in.

objective
The purpose of this project was to learn designing of a letterhead for a company fictional or not. This
included skills in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.

Process
I first created a logo using Adobe illustrator. I then placed this image twice into a layout in Adobe
InDesign. One of the images acts as the logo of the company at the top of the letterhead. The second
image acts as the transparent watermark on the stationery. I made this transparent by turning the
opacity level down. I then added the text in the upper right hand corner of the letterhead.

objective
The purpose of this project was to learn designing of a business card for a company fictional or not. This
included skills in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.

Process
The first step I took was to create a logo for a company. I used the pen tool to create the outline of the
logo and then filled it with color. I then added the text using Crackvetica font to get the cracked earthy
feel in the word Adventure. I then added the text to the back of the business card.

objective
The purpose of this project was to get us to hone our photography skills paired with Adobe Photoshop to
produce a beutifully edited piece of work.

Process
I first took this picture of my fiance. I chose this background to go with her blouse to show
complementary colors in green and red. I then placed this image in photoshop and edited the saturation
and hue of the photograph. I also edited the levels of the darkness and brightness of the image. I then
placed the repeating element of dots from Mackenzys blouse into the rest of the image. I used colors
from each color scale of each of the chosen colors. I also used the dots as a color swatch to show the
colors and color scheme I
had chosen to showcase.

professional flier.

Process
I first downloaded the image from a selection of images prepared for this class. I placed the image into
InDesign. I then chose complementary fonts such as a slab serif for the title and a sans serif for the body
copy. I then placed the logo of the company in the lower lefthand corner of the flier. I also added part of a
black circle in the lower righthand corner of the flier to add an element of contrast.
