Process:
For this project, I used Adobe Illustrator to create several original logos. I used Illustrator
to create the images from scratch without tracing them. After completing my first three
logos, I had people vote on which one they felt was the best for the company and best
displayed the message I wanted my audience to get. After choosing a final image, I
duplicated the image and created several adaptations of the image, one in color, one in
grey scale and the last outlined with a color.

I used photoshop to size and format 3 specific images together to create a montage.
I used the blending and sizing tools to crate a steady flow from one image to the next
without any hard edges. Afterwards I took the time to get several critiques for my final
design.

Process:
I created a brand new logo for this project. I created this in Adobe Illustrator and then
placed it inside an Adobe Indesign document. I created a general layout for my catalogue
in Indesign. I added pictures to my document and put placeholder text boxes to see a
rough outline of what my final project was going to look like. I then added actual text
to my boxes. I edited my images in order to create a quality design that displayed the
products that I wanted my catalogue to display. I took the two images on the back of
my catalogue and put them into Adobe Photoshop and cut them out from their white
backgrounds. With these images I formatted my text boxes to wrap around them to create
a more professional design.

Photodesign
Description:
A photography project where we created a design from a photo that we took during class
incorporating an understanding of color and photo editing.

Objectives:
Process:
I started this project by taking lots of pictures of different things that would be appealing
in my design process. I thought about what exactly I wanted to do with this project
and took pictures that would help me achieve my imagined final product. After looking
through my pictures, I drew a few sketches of what I wanted the final layout to look like.
I chose a complimentary color scheme found on the Visual FOCUS website. Then, after
selecting a final image, I used photoshop to edit this image to the best of my ability. I
had to stretch myself to come to a final product that I felt good about. The hardest thing
that I had to do was find a way to contrast the elements within my final design. It took
some time to come to a perfect level of contrast that would help my typography be legible
without detracting from my image.

Process:
I created this webpage using HTML and CSS coding, primarily inside of Tetwrangler. With
help from W3schools.com, I was able to edit coding inside of Textwarangler and was able
to come up with the final website above.
With a premade CSS coding sheet, I was able to add design elements to my webpage to
make it look and feel less bland. I took time learning how to input the CSS coding into my
original HTML coding to create the image above. I added padding and borders around the
text, to help it stand out. I also changed my fonts and implemented the color scheme from
my logo into my final webpage.

Microsoft Word

Process:
I started this project by finding a picture that I had taken in Jackson Whole Wyoming. I
opened up my image inside Microsoft Word. I used design mode in Microsoft Word 2011
to edit and formulate this project into the image you see above. I chose using Comic Sans
as my primary font because not only is this an event for children, but it a comic book
convention. I tried to organize my layout and my message so that it was clear, easy to read
and easy to spot. I used the primary colors to add contrast to my final product.

Adobe Indesign
Objectives:
Process:
The process we used to do this project was by first getting to know how to use the
InDesign software. This tool helps designers create and publish many different forms of
visual media. While doing this project I was able to demonstrate my ability to formulate
a plan and organize my ideas into a finished project. I started this process by creating
several sketches of what I wanted my final product to look like. Then, I took the time to
familiarize myself with the InDesign software. When I was more familiar with how this
software worked, I took my sketches and created a rough draft of the flier you see above.
After that, I took my work to other Visual communication students and had them give me
feedback. I evaluated this project thoroughly and then edited it until it was the crisp final
product that it is now.
