Static Strength
Due to variations in dimensions, machining, forming and composition even
for mass production the strength of the parts will be somewhat different.
Static load is a constant load or couple vector applied to a member.
Ideally, in designing a machine element the engineer should have results of
strength tests for the particular material and for the type of loading under
consideration. However, it is not always possible to perform strength tests.
