Don't move save folder to the external memory.
Do this:
Connect your device to your computer (or card on which it is installed navigation)
Copy your iGO as it is to the computer (archives)
Prepare everything to re-install / after cleaning the residue from the previous version /. If you

have a directory SAVE - remove it!

Change the current file sys.txt in the following way:
Copy your sys.txt file to your computer. Open it in notepad. put to him all the attached section
sound.Copy back.
Run the installation again.
Turn off and then on again.
Go to settings and see if there is a voice - for me to be

Car Navigation Companion (aka CN Companion) merges several speed cam files into one
single file. It can also be used to convert one format to another speed cam format or to
optimize speed cam it by removing duplicate cam's.
CN Companion can help you with speed cam files for car navigation software like iGO, Mio
Moov, viaGPS etc. Every car navigation software has its own speed camera data type in
which stores information about speed cams. You can collect speed cam data from web but the
problem of merging all data gathered from web sites in one file that matches your GPS
navigation system software (or multiple softwares) is now solved. Supported speed cam types
are: iGO, viaGPS, Mio Moov, GoClever and Garmin.
It helps you to...
Merge multiple speed cam files in to one single speed cam file
Speed cam files must be merged into one single file to easily load it in to the navigation
software.

Main window: Input/output file(s) with Merge processing

Convert speed cam file from one software type to another type
Convert speed cam file to format that your car navigation software supports.

Main window: Input/output file(s) with Convert processing

Optimize speed cam file to reduce its size by removing duplicate and similar cameras
Commonly happens when merging speed cam data from multiple sources and in multiple
days. One cam is considered similar to another when both cam's resides inside ~10 m area
from each other. By reducing number of unusable cam positions, result file is smaller,
navigation software loads faster and there are no duplicate cameras so there will be no
duplicate warnings during travel.

Hi i was going to update my GPS SD card for my iGO8 and it has "Australia.SPB" file in the
"Speedcam" folder rather than the type of file contained in the update being "Australia.SPC"
the other file type in the update received is a "SpeedcamUpdates.spud" and this is also in the
SD card so no problems updating that.
Do i need to replace the .SPB with the .SPC or do i have an incomplete update for the
speedcameras.
( there were no .TXT files nor .SPDB files just the 2 mentioned above in the update for
Speedcameras.
To update the speedcams in your GPS, delete the files speedcam.spdb and
SpeedcamUpdates.spud and copy the new *.txt or *.spc file to the */content/speedcam
directory and restart iGO. The file will automatically update the database and iGO will
generate new speedcam.spdb and SpeedcamUpdates.spud files in the speedcam directory!!!
The speedcam in iGO are of various types, Spec, txt, spud, kml.if you have deleted the Spec,
and you put the txt files, just no problem. Feature is the same.all files go in content\speedcam,
except KML file that goes into content \ userdata \ poi
I really like IGO and I'm using IGO for many years.
But speedcam warnings is something that makes me angry.
I'm using Gjak_Arine skin and I want that IGO warns me just once when I approaching to the
speedcam. I hate default behavior with many beeps and sounds.
I know that this can't be handled via menus, but we have to change SYS.TXT. But - it is very
hard to change the settings and then drive to see if everything is ok.
What are your recommendations?
I want just one beep in "normal" distance when I approaching speedcam (all types of them are
the same for me).
Any idea? This problem is solved!
Go to Speedcam audio warning - non TTS
and you will be satisfy!
By default iGO is set to an audio warning for speedcams works with TTS. Many languages do
not support TTS, so I made it to work with recorded audio files on my languages and the
other who do not have TTS.
After a lot of time and a lot of misinformation, I came to a decision.
I've tried many combinations but were not usable. Or the infinitely repeated BIPS warning
sound or audio files. I wanted a solution where no BIPS ound and the human voice heard 2 or
3 times.

NOTE:
These are the settings for the application with data.zip
branding.zip, ux, Skin ... can disrupt work
1.
If the iGO is set to a mile then it will be in 300-200=100 miles
2.
Of course it depends on the two numbers. warn_distances and approach_beep_distances
An example for three times
warn_distances="150:700,140:700,130:700,120:700,11
0:700,100:700,90:700,80:700,70:700,60:700,50:700,4 0:700,30:700,20:700,10:700"
approach_beep_distances=200
700-200=500 - first warning
500-200=300 - second warning

300-200=100 - third warning

3.
1 = 192
In speedcamara.txt file put a number 1 or 192
100 miles? I hope not. You mean 100ft. LOL!
I guess I should of quoted to make the question clearer. In your example in first post, you
have
500 - 200 = 300 m - First audio warning
300 - 200 = 100 m - Second audio warning
then I asked where does 300 comes from for the "Second audio warning"
Then you answered
300-200=100 - third warning
So is it second or third warning? And where does 500 comes from
500-200=300 - second warning
If it depends only on warn_distances (which is 700) and approach_beep_distances (which is
200), where are you getting 500 and 300 for the following:
700-200=500 - first warning
500-200=300 - second warning
300-200=100 - third warning
And if 1=192 why have 192 when 1 can be used just fine. The value of 1 have been around
for a long time (Amigo); but 192 is mentioned very recently, gotta be a reason why it was
introduced.
I think using a different value (700 instead of 500) caused confusion. A clearer answer would
have been something like:
the approach_beep_distances is subtracted from the value in warning_distances (based on
speed) for each iteration of the warnings
1st warning: 500-200=300
then we use the 1st warning distant to compute the 2nd warning:
300-200=100
we do this until the warning distant is less than the approach_beep_distances.
But I've seen the following example with distances (more than one), posted on other sites
approach_beep_distances="1,25,30,50,100"
which makes the computation like
1st warning: 500-1=499
2nd warning: 499-25=474

3rd warning: 474-30=444

4th warning: 444-50=394
5th warning: 394-100=294
6th warning: 294-100=194
7th warning: 194-100=94
So this would give us a non-linear control of alert distances, right?
if you dont read. Writes you to change a number. It is example
warn_distances="4:3,........"
approach_beep_distances=1
4-1=3 - first warning
3-1=2 - second warning
2-1=1 - third warning
[Android] Incomplete TTS announcements iGO 9.6.29.39xxxx (29.Apr 2014)
Hi all,
as already stated in the subject I've some issues with iGO 9.6.29.39xxx and TTS and above.
Currently I'm running 9.6.29.390522 ISR, but this nuts me since some older versions too...
Generally TTS works fine. I bought some TTS voices like SVOX, CereProc and Acapela
(German but this does not matters)
When I set the following in sys.txt everyting works fine. But when I user Bluetooth as output
all iGO sounds are way to low. Unuseable to naviagate.
Code:
[android]
;1-STREAM_SYSTEM 2-STREAM_RING, 3-STREAM_MUSIC, 4-STREAM_ALARM 5STREAM_NOTIFICATION
navigation_audio_stream=1
When I set
Code:
[android]
;1-STREAM_SYSTEM 2-STREAM_RING, 3-STREAM_MUSIC, 4-STREAM_ALARM 5STREAM_NOTIFICATION
navigation_audio_stream=3
all sounds/voices are loud enough, but TTS announcements are mostly not completely spoken
out.
Example: Instead of "Turn left on westminster road" all I hear is "Turn left on westmi"
Another thing that I noticed:
TTS guidance is not always active, but TTS voice is! (This has nothing to do with the above
issue)

Simulating or driving the same route without any modifications results in an issue that in
about 40% TTS announcements are complete.
Example: Sometimes I get "Turn right on abbey road in 300 meters", somtimes just "Turn
right now". Some other TTS announcements were spoken completely...
- Remember exactly the same route! Just either a iGO re-start or just a new route calculation
in between.
So my simple question is: Anyone else? Any possible solution yet?
Would be nice to get some response and thanks in advance

It would be my opinion that your sys.txt is way too bloated, and contains some statements that
are irrelevant to the Android Igo version--looks like some leftovers from WinCE, and even
then probably not necessary any more...a lot of 'old school' thinking from more primitive Igo
versions long past.
You could be creating a lot of conflicts and initializing of commands that are interfering with
each other and possibly canceling each other out which can create erratic performance. Try
paring things down to just the basics that may be required for your device (such as the
[rawdisplay] and [folders] sections).
You could even try starting with no sys.txt at all and see what happens. As an example, here is
my complete sys.txt...and everything works, but even it has a bit of bloat, but I really have not
bothered to mess with it too much.:

When I installed iGO Primo(2.4) 9.6.29.331894 20-sep-2013, the contacts did not appear in
the favorite folder. Then I uninstalled this version, and instaledl an earlier version
9.6.22.297071, the contacts showed up. Then I uninstalled 9.6.22.297071 and re-installed iGO
Primo(2.4) 9.6.29.331894, the contacts stays in favorite folder.
It works for me, but I do not know how it works. Does anyone know how to setup iGO Primo
to access Android phone contacts?

I have tried several different combinations with iGO apk /data.zip/sys.txt.
1) iGO 9.6.22.297071 with the data.zip come with it works with any sys.txt.
2) iGO 9.6.22.297071 with the data.zip come with 9.6.29.331894 does not work with any
sys.txt
3) iGO 9.6.29.331894 with the data.zip come with 9.6.22.297071 does not work. The contacts
shows up in favorite, but if I click on any contact, the phone does not response, if I click on
the contact again, iGO quit.
4) iGO 9.6.29.331894 with the data.zip come with it does not work. adding following lines in
sys.txt will make the contacts show in favorite. When I click on any contact, iGO come back
to favorite.

where do you find TMC licenses? Read answer with attention! I wrote isn't free = you have to
buy it at NNG company, naviextras.com is place where you need to look for license.
When I'm in default 3D mode, the screen starts 'blinking' after a while. The route and the
roads start to disappear and the terrain starts taking over the screen, so that for example it will
be all green, the same as the fields. The whole screen starts flashing. This is happening on
default scheme/skin or any other HD compatible skin. Meanwhile, the voice and the
directions are still all ok. It behaves as if a ZX Spectrum is running it!

Unfortunately, for the electronic compass, first it must be
supported from the application.
And after with utilities with lua code.
Here is an example which
Enable internal compass
In java.
This must be in the primo apk.

Java example...
import android.content.Context;
import android.hardware.Sensor;
import android.hardware.SensorEvent;
import android.hardware.SensorEventListener;
import android.hardware.SensorManager;
public class InternalCompassOrientationProvider implements SensorEventListener,
IOrientationProvider
{
private IOrientationConsumer mOrientationConsumer;
private final SensorManager mSensorManager;
private float mAzimuth;
public InternalCompassOrientationProvider(Context context)
{
mSensorManager = (SensorManager)
context.getSystemService(Context.SENSOR_SERVICE);
}
//
// IOrientationProvider
//
/**
* Enable orientation updates from the internal compass sensor and show the compass.
*/
@Override
public boolean startOrientationProvider(IOrientationConsumer orientationConsumer)
{
mOrientationConsumer = orientationConsumer;

boolean result = false;

final Sensor sensor = mSensorManager.getDefaultSensor(Sensor.TYPE_ORIENT ATION);
if (sensor != null) {
result = mSensorManager.registerListener(this, sensor,
SensorManager.SENSOR_DELAY_UI);
}
return result;
}
@Override
public void stopOrientationProvider()
{
mSensorManager.unregisterListener(this);
}
@Override
public float getLastKnownOrientation()
{
return mAzimuth;
}
//
// SensorEventListener
//
@Override
public void onAccuracyChanged(final Sensor sensor, final int accuracy)
{
// This is not interesting for us at the moment
}
@Override
public void onSensorChanged(final SensorEvent event)
{
if (event.sensor.getType() == Sensor.TYPE_ORIENTATION) {
if (event.values != null) {
mAzimuth = event.values[0];
if (mOrientationConsumer != null)
mOrientationConsumer.onOrientationChanged(mAzimuth , this);
}
}
}

I do not know where you found this, or you did, but iGO will use the language program.
LUA.This language, born in Brazil 20 years ago, lua = moon. is this language that you write
tools iGO Win& Android. example. for compass is this :
---- GR_compass
MODEL.SETPERSISTENT.lua.newCompass = INT_MODEL(0)
MODEL.SETPERSISTENT.lua.newDestArrow = BOOL_MODEL(false)
createState("st_Grand_Compass")
st_EasyNav:useLayers(primary, "ui_Grand_Compass")
i mean the electronic sensor (compass) from our android device
like Sygic....
in Primo
we are already use the compass , but , it comes from map , gps .
NOT from internal sensor
from that we need Java!!!!
Refresh traffic events
Can one force the traffic events to be refreshed at a certain time interval, for example every 10
minutes? (What is actually the default value for that?)
My guess is that it should done by adding a line under [tmc] or [tmc-http] in sys.txt. I have
searched, but I have not been able to find something.

Warn Distances Camera
Yes most times you can overide the distance in sys.txt.
example. Either a general one
warn_distances="120:500,110:460,100:420,90:380,80: 340,70:300,60:26

0,50:220,40:180,30:140,20:100"
approach_beep_distances="50,90,150,250"
or individually ..example:
[speedcam_category:0]
activated_spoken_type=speech
activated_speech="Caution speed camera ahead"
;overspeed_spoken_type=1
warn_distances="110:800,100:400,90:400,80:300,70:3 00,60:250,50:200,40:200"
i have a problem with speedcam alerts, i ticked the sound and visual alert for speedcams in
the igo menu but i get only the visual alert but no sounds and no voices alerts.
could you help me to get this sounds alerts thank you
Update:17 may After testing and deleting all files od SPEEDCAM folder except the
speedcam.tx Miracle !
i got one sound alert on a very specific speedcam place and in
only one direction but most of time it is not working. Is there in the speedcam.txt a parameter
which activates the function?
I got the speedcam.txt from scdb.info site.

How to manage/access my custom POIs in iGO Primo 2.4

Hello to all,
I can,t mange/access to my custom POIs in iGO 2.4. I haven't any option in the settings and I

don't know how to manage them. I have tested different skins, app versions, data file, different
options in the sys.txt... without result. I have searched the web but nothing deffinitive.
I have my POIs in userdata/poi
I have my icons (bmp) in userdata/icon
I have my sound files for the POIs (wav) in ui_android/audio/speedcam_es
When I start iGo nothing happens and the app does not ask me nothing at all. I have searched
all the configurations settings without to find how to manage them. At this moment I am using
iGO 9.6.29.383117 whith GjAk_v2.2_Arine-3 skin.
How to unlock Acer v200 GPS Navigation and install iGO 8?
Acer v200 is a older GPS device, but maybe someone needs to unlock this GPS. There is few
steps for unlocking Acer v200:
1. In notepad make acerautorun.inf and copy acerautorun.inf on your SD card.
2.Copy your igo8 files on iGO8 folder on the root of your SD card.
3.Now you must edit your acerautorun.inf. Put this command inside: open=iGo8\iGO8.exe
4.Restart your Acer v200 GPS Navigation.
Now you have unlocked and fully functional GPS device.

Hello,
I'm using iGO Primo version 9.6.29.353513 on my Android phone and I'm unable to save the
settings of the "Warn when speeding". Every time I'm exiting from iGO (after I have modified
the "Warn when speeding" to "Visual"), the next time i"m using my Igo, the speed warning
returns to default ("Audio and Visual").
Please advise
[warning]

Run iGO, make your preferred settings, then quit - DO NOT RESTART NOW!
Look in /iGO/save/profiles/01/system.ini and copy the section [warning] into your
/iGO/sys.txt
Now iGO will never "forget" your warning settings...

where to place naviextra mapfiles for manual map update?

Hi
I am absolute beginner (in GPS area) i own an alpine ine-W920R which runs with an igo
primo 2.0.1 ver 9.6.10.232425.(under winCE 6)
I know how to boot on win CE so i am able to manage files as i want.
At first my device has been registered on the internet site naviextra to proceed with official
update.
in the meantime i have a bit copy and change files version trying to unlock the device...
Now
i proceed with the standard process for update
i purchased and downloaded a map with different files using naviextra tool
the download is OK (fbl,fpa,fsp,poi,3dl,3dc,are copied in the SD )
But the regular update declare "mismatch device" and delete all the map files in the SD (when
i put the the SD in the device to proceed with update)
probably because my device has lost his right identification with my different manipulations.
So my question is am i able to put manually the files in the system and where?
here the list of the folder i get in the SD
-content
-license
-AlpineNaviextra.exe
-data.zip
in the "content" folder i get fbl,fps,fsp,poi, 3dl,3dc
is necessary to copy also the license folder and the data.zip?
WHERE TO PUT iGO DIFFERENT FILES?

As long you are using iGO8.3.5, you should put in map folder only the files -> fbl, fda and ftr.
The others(fda, fjw, fsp and hnr) will not be recognized by iGO8.3.5. They are specific only
for iGO Primo(or Becker).
On the other hand, the message with "outdated maps" is due to license issue, so you will need
some "fresh" license.
FSP (File .Speed.Profiles).Put it in content\map.
Sync Os Time - Timezone error
Hi
I replaced successfully primo version on zenec, keeping all branding and function.
Almost all indeed, as there is a very little thing I'd like to solve:
My Zenec unit OS Time states it is 8.45 when the GPS Time is 18.45
The timezone is wrong, and differ by 10 hours.
Inside my sys.txt I wrote:
[timezone]
sync_time=1

sync_os_timezone=1
sync_os_timezone_only=1
I've also tried other combination of those values but it is always the same.
Even with these velues I didn't solve
auto_index=29
default_timezone=29
index=29
Try changing sys text to:[timezone]
use_auto=1
I have this ux file for Low Emission Zone and was wondering how it gets its data to pop up
the warning.
I have looked at the source code of the files and do not see anything that does that.
Can anyone tell me how it does it?
RoutePlanningMethod.zip
Didn't have problem with fixing gps signal on newer SGS like S2, S3, S4,
all of them fix gps signal fast, specially S3 and S4, which has now more
better gps recievers. When you try to get gps signal, try to be at place
where not some buildings front of you, or some other objects, which can
block gps signal. In meantime, delete save folder, add these command lines
in sys.txt
[gps.igo_connector]
position_validity=-1
restart_listening_interval=0
listen_for_gps_while_log_is_playing=1
[modules]
IGPS_DRIVER="ANDROID_NGPS_DRIVER"
then start Primo and see will it fix GPS signal faster, didn't test latest
version, but with 11 september works ok, with 27 sept would be same...
At all like i told with all newer android phones - SG, HTC, Sony, etc. no
problems with fixing gps signal, cause most of them have very good gps
recievers, with S4 on my testing wasn't problem with fixing gps signal.

IGO Primo road width

Can someone tell me what sys.txt setting adjust the width of the road on
the 3D map. I would like to widen the road to at least the with of my car on
the the 3D map. thanks to all noeman contributors, much appreciation.
You can try there in sys.txt;
plannedroutethickness="0.2" ;(0)
guidancestrip_thickness="0.2" ;(?)

Try changing the 0.2 for thickness

Custom speedcam/category files - looking for UK testers

Latest Update on Post #5
I have created a custom speed camera poi sys.txt and icon package for
the UK, is is based on the standard category types but tweaked with
different poi/listings.
I would be grateful if anyone form the UK can test this out for me and see
if it works for them. I have placed this in the general igo discussion thread
as this is still in test mode so needs to be discussed.
the main speedcam.txt and sys.txt file are listed below along with the
individual poi txt files and the edited data.zip file
In theory if you add the data file and speedcam.txt to your system, and
edit your sys.txt with the edited categories it should work.

Type (Category) 2 - Red Light/Speed Camera
Type (Category) 3 - Red Light Camera
Type (Category) 4 - Average Speed Camera
Type (Category) 5 - Mobile Speed Camera

Type (Category) 9 - School Zone
Type (Category) 10 - Variable Speed Camera (these are cameras that
speed is NOT fixed so could change from 30 to 50 or reverse and you may
be unaware - you get them for example on M6 near Birmingham and also
M25)
Type (Category) 12 - Toll Booth
Type (Category) 13 - Hospital Zone
Type (Category) 14 - Fire Station
Type (Category) 15 - Congestion Charge Zone
Type (Category) 16 - Tunnel
Type (Category) 20 - Low Bridge
Type (Category) 21 - Width Restriction (useful for larger vehicles so gives
warning prior to being stuck)
Type (Category) 22 - Weight Restriction (useful for larger vehicles so gives
warning prior to being stuck)
Type (Category) 23 - Speed Bumps
Type (Category) 25 - D2S Speed Camera (A new kind of camera in the UK,
you get two lines on road and by time you see them its too late, no signs
are displayed for this type of camera)
Type (Category) 26 - Electric Recharge Station (for electric cars)
Type (Category) 27 - Dangerous Bend
Type (Category) 28 - ADR Restrictions (useful for vehicles who carry
hazardous goods, gives warning prior to restriction so can divert)
any or all features above can be disabled by going into settings/Sounds
and Warnings/Alert Point Settings/Alert Types and change things there.
Currently all locations are in one speedcam.txt file (attached) except for 16
which there is no data yet.
All data is for the UK but easily adaptable for international use by just
changing the type code on your data files to what is above.

Instructions for anyone else willing to try this out

UX File (copy this into your ux folder or create a folder called "ux" in
your igo root folder)
http://www40.zippyshare.com/v/92662005/file.html
speedcam.txt (copy this into your speedcam folder in the main contents
folder)
http://www52.zippyshare.com/v/826103/file.html
You can alternatively place each individual category file in your speedcam
folder instead of the full text file above, that way it makes it easier to
update individual files.

Google local search impossible on Igo Primo Android

Hello everyone,
I search a way for use the Google local search.
Everytimes I get a connection error.
I try many things :
Change part in sys.txt
Change global_cfg.zip
Ajout some other license
Nothing work....
Someone have a soluce for it ?
Thanks
Yes, on my devices work .
Try to add in sys.txt :
[network]
available=1
[naviextras]
boot_service_address="http://zippy.naviextras.com/services/index/rest/2/boo
t"
[tmc-http]
enabled=1
start=1
servers.size=1
servers[0].url="http://zippy.naviextras.com/services/tmclite/data/nng-igotmc-iphone/0/"
[google]
enabled=1
start=1
servers.size=1
servers[0].url="http://zippy.naviextras.com/services/tmclite/data/nng-igotmc-iphone/0/"
[services]
server_addr=https://android.naviextras.com/
I have all your commands in my sys.txt in the Download of the first post,
I have all the needed licences,

but probably I forgot to set the following in the file config.ini :

[device_info]
device_name="dc................................... ........135"
licenses_uploaded="1"
in the folder iGO\licence\server_configs\www.naviextras.com\config.ini
I will update my first post soon,
so to anyone who likes to have google search in action must dowloand only
the folder licence :
[hide]http://www.share-byte.net/QzBx8X[/hide]
and place it in the path:
iGO\ .
I think that you have wrong saved devicename in the folder save!
So you can do the following:
Delete your folder save from the path: iGO\ .
and run iGO, then you will have google search.
OR do the following
If you like to keep your folder save then do the following:
Open the file : system.ini which is located in the path:
iGO\save\profiles\01\system.ini
open the file system.ini with a notepad in your PC and delete:
[naviextras]
index_service_address="http://zippy.naviextras.com/services/index/rest/2"
licenses_uploaded="1"
saved_connect_server_addr="http://zippy.naviextras.com/services/register/re
st/1/"
saved_devicename="................................ ........................
............."
and write this:
[naviextras]
index_service_address="http://zippy.naviextras.com/services/index/rest/2"
licenses_uploaded="1"
saved_connect_server_addr="http://zippy.naviextras.com/services/register/re
st/1/"
saved_devicename="dc278c8b831659efa49d76dbc375b181 "
my google search works fine with your help and im thankfull for that
does anybody made live traffic to work ? my event list work fine but my
online traffic button doesnt even respond
[poi]
featured_provider=""
[services]
server_addr=https://android.naviextras.com/
ry new "HERE" local search:
[poi]
featured_provider="netlocalsearch.naviextras.nokia "
[poi.netlocalsearch.naviextras]
services="nokia,google"

But it is a other license needed:

"iPhone_Primo_FEU_NQ13Q2_TM1309_NQ_NNG_CAR_JV_HERE _LS_TTS_PHO_v2_1_.lyc"
and this license i have not.

However Navteq HERE search doesn't work for no one on Android........

How to setup iGO Primo to access Android phone contacts?

When I installed iGO Primo(2.4) 9.6.29.331894 20-sep-2013, the contacts
did not appear in the favorite folder. Then I uninstalled this version, and
instaledl an earlier version 9.6.22.297071, the contacts showed up. Then I
uninstalled 9.6.22.297071 and re-installed iGO Primo(2.4) 9.6.29.331894,
the contacts stays in favorite folder.
It works for me, but I do not know how it works. Does anyone know how to
setup iGO Primo to access Android phone contacts?

I have tried several different combinations with iGO apk /data.zip/sys.txt.
1) iGO 9.6.22.297071 with the data.zip come with it works with any sys.txt.
2) iGO 9.6.22.297071 with the data.zip come with 9.6.29.331894 does not
work with any sys.txt
3) iGO 9.6.29.331894 with the data.zip come with 9.6.22.297071 does not
work. The contacts shows up in favorite, but if I click on any contact, the
phone does not response, if I click on the contact again, iGO quit.
4) iGO 9.6.29.331894 with the data.zip come with it does not work. adding
following lines in sys.txt will make the contacts show in favorite. When I
click on any contact, iGO come back to favorite.

I will stay with iGO 9.6.22.297071 until anyone found a solution to this
issue.

Resolution in Skins info.ini?

can somebody help me to understand the info.ini of a skin file?
I have a FullHD phone, sys.txt has an entries
[rawdisplay]
..
screen_xy="auto"
highres=1
...
I don't know what resolution is used and stretched to the phones
resolution.
Asuming the phone has a resolution x-y in horizontal (including or
excluding status bar? How to determine?) mode and x1-y1 in vertical mode,
what entries do I have to enter in info.ini of a skin? Which resolution do
I need in ui_android of the skin?

You ask ... but you don't said what is the name or the resolution of your
device...
In order to see skin, do the following:
Download the scrrensize apk , it is free:
Code:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=lt.andro.screensize&hl=el
then , run this apk and you take values (application window size) for your
device:
_ for Portarait mode
and
ZZZZ_NNN for Landscape mode
then open the info.ini file in skin using winrar 3.93

http://www.share-byte.net/TOdUAc
and write:
supported_resolutions="1920_1080,.......600_1024,X XX_YYYY,ZZZZ_NNN"
Delete the folder save, it is in the root of iGO - run iGO - select the
skin... thank you very much for your very informative reply. My phone is a
Nexus 5. I have the info in my profile, didn't recognize that it's not
displayed in the forum, sorry.
However, with your info you engaged me to investigate the iGo resolution
stuff and it created more questions than answers for me.
The app you mentioned gives me the following numbers: fullscreen =
1080x1776, 1794x1080, with statusbar 1080x1721, 1794x1025.
1) Now I took a skin and entered only
supported_resolutions="1080_1776,1794_1080,1080_17 21,1794_1025" to the
info.ini, but the skin is still not recognized. Do I still need things like
1920_1080... which I don't have?
2) Confused by the above I checked the data.zip file and found
ui_android/480_272, ui_android/800_480 and ui_android/1024_768 directories.
By try&error (deleted single directories) I found, that the 800_480
directory is used on my device. But why is that directory used?
multimode.ini says
m1=400..480,196..320,"480_272"
m2=234..320,400..480,"480_272"
m3=800..960,400..600,"800_480"
m4=480..600,700..960,"800_480"
m5=1024..1280,552..800,"1024_768"
m6=600..800,976..1280,"1024_768"
so no info about the resolution of my device (max=1280 pixel). Why does it
use the 800_480 directory?
3) I also found directories
config/junctionview/1024_768_Lanes; ./800_480_Lanes, ./1280_800_Lanes; ./48
0_320_Lanes; 960_600_Lanes which don't fit to that resolution. To test, I
deleted all except the 800_480_Lanes and iGo seems to work. Is it OK to
delete that directories to save space? It is not very important but very
interesting for my to understand the software.
I suggest you, do not delete what you like, because you can make huge
trouble to your iGO software!
Copy and keep the data.zip as you have download.
Delete what you have written in info.ini and copy the following:
supported_resolutions="1920_1080,1080_1920,1080_18
45,1920_1005,1794_1005,1080_1701,1794_1080,1080_17

_888,854_480,480_854,480_762,800_442,480_800,800_4
80,800_448,480_768,800_435,800_440,480_755,480_760 ,
800_432,480_752,740_440,480_710,1024_552,600_976,
768_1184,1196_768,1280_752,800_1232,1280_755,1024_
768,768_1024,1024_600,600_1024,1280_750,800_1230,8
00_444,480_764,800_425,480_745,1184_670,720_1184,1
184_720,1196_720,1196_674,720_1138,1280_768,768_12

80,768_1230,1280_718,720_1134,1196_670,720_1154,12
04_670,720_1204,1204_720"
It dosen't make any sense if you have all (or some of them) the resolution
written inside info.ini of skins.
Inside data.zip there are 3 Resolution: 480_272, 800_480, 1024_768
Your device can work with the resolution 1024_768 and depending what you
have in your sys.txt it can work and with 800_480 Resolution from data.zip
I strongly recommened to you to use 1024_768.
If it works with 1024_768 then you can delete the folder 480_272 and folder
800_480 from data.zip.
I suggest you, do not delete lanes 960_600, 1280_720.
Don't play with data.zip file, if you don't have space in your device you
can buy a bigger SDcard.
Forgot to mention, the modification in info.ini you must use winrar 3.93:
http://www.share-byte.net/TOdUAc
Try this in your sys.txt :
driver="gdi"
screen_xy="1024_768:1080x1721/1794x1025:fullscreen"
highres=1
or try this one:
driver="gdi"
screen_xy="1024_768:1920x1080/1080x1920:fullscreen"
highres=1

Reply from naviextras / igo

I wrote an email to igo/naviextras regarding a few issues/questions and
have received this reply. Only thing is cannot reply to it as they want a
licence file and as the software was got through this site it would not
exactly be legal!
I get the impression from their reply that second part of my question can
be activated through the licence file, but its certainly not been cr@cked!
as if it was it would be on this site.
Question
I am looking to find out if the following is possible, via changing sys.txt
file, an addon via ux folder or a skin. for example with a garmin it says
you have arrived at 14 example street on your left, but igo just says you
have arrived at waypoint or arrived at destination on left. it just does
not say the address you arrived at, this can be important as if your
driving you cannot look across at paperwork and take eyes off road,.
also, in truck mode it does not show the icons for low bridge, width
restriction or weight limit, it reroutes fine but it would be good to have
visual notification on map too. i noticed sygic truck gps shows
all roads with restriction icons. if it can do it am sure there is a way
for yours to do that via a sys.txt tweak.
Answer
Dear Customer,
First of all, thank you for your interest in our products!

Unfortunately, the first feature cannot be purchased from us as it is an

extra feature that comes preinstalled with some devices and if you do not
have this feature, you cannot receive it from us.
We can check whether you should be able to use this feature (as well as the
issue with the truck restrictions) if you can send us the following data.
Please attach the content of the license folder (of the SD card or
theinternal memory of your device) in zipped format (.zip or .rar).
Attach your device via USB cable or cardreader. If you are connecting your
device via USB cable, turn it on. Now go to My computer using Windows,
findyour device as a removable drive or disk (usually lettered "E" or "F").
Doubleclick on the drive, and find LICENSE folder. Now right-click on
LICENSEfolder, and choose "Send To - Compressed (zipped) Folder". Now your
computerwill make a compressed file called "License.zip".Please attach this
License.zip to your email reply and send it to us.

TTS Voices require editing, can anyone help?

Critical while you try to modify voice.zip files is to do the following:

Save the changes you made in a lua file , BUT then you must wait for 2 sec
in order the changes
you have made to take action and to the voice.zip file too !!!
Furthermore you should use a win rar 3.80 up to 3.93 (with other win.rar
maybe you will get a corrupted .zip file).
Another approach to modify .zip file:
1.Open with a winrar the voice.zip file you want to modify...
2.Copy the file you want to make changes (from the menu of winrar) and
paste it to your PC.
3.Make the changes to this file and save them.
4.Open the voice.zip file with a win.rar (never unzip the voice.zip file):
double click to the voice.zip
5.Copy the file that you have made changes in your PC
6.Then paste this file using the menu of winrar to the voice.zip file.
To fix the pronunciation for driver alerts (that comes from map) you should
open the file i18/dictionary.voice with a notepad and
there you will find all the things that you want to modify.
Furthermore inside the voice.zip in the file dictionary.voice if you set:
Caution speed camera ahead="Caution speed camera be careful"
Caution mobile speed camera ahead="Caution mobile speed camera ahead"
Caution traffic light camera="Caution traffic light camera"
.................................................. ........................
.
.................................................. ........................
.
and then you have in sys.txt:
[speedcam_category:0]
activated_spoken_type=speech
activated_speech="Caution speed camera ahead"
approach_beep_spoken_type=0
approach_beep_speech=0
approach_beep_sound=0

overspeed_spoken_type=0
overspeed_speech=0
overspeed_sound=0
warn_distances="150:2000,140:1800,130:1500,120:140
0,110:1300,100:1200,90:1100,80:1000,60:700,50:600, 40:500"
then TTS will announce to you acurate this : Caution speed camera be
careful

iGO customizations
I wanted to use the Lamborghini logo as a symbol to show pedestrians, but
rotate it for 180 degrees. But when I do it, in the navigation does not
display anything. What more needs to be done?
The other thing I wanted to do, was make my user icon you'd use for my
place. Before, I could see it when I put in the folder iGO \ content \
userdata \ usericon, but now, there is no way in the choice for changing
icons for POI.

Question about speed warnings setting
Hi, I am using iGO Primo 9.6.22.317625. I have once found there are
separate speed warnings for in city and not in city, and also can select
warning when how many MPH over speed instead of percentage. It was
under More.../Program Settings/Sound and Warnings/Speed Warning
Settings.
But after I reinstalled iGO Primo, I can not find it anymore, also the manual
under "More..." change from "Program Settings" to "Settings". There is
only one speed warning option as percentage.
Does anyone know how to change the manual? Does it depend on sys.txt
or data.zip or branding.zip?
Probably you had installed a skin diMka ... these advanced commands
appear only when the skin is enabled.
See if you have skin in the same folder and activate in:
- Display

*Day Skin Theme

*Night Skin Theme.
Themechanger Android

Hi, a beta is out for french user, it 's needed to test SDcard directory and
compatibility...
i will post an advanced APK when we will have recolted all info.
Actually, Themechanger work only if folder in SDcard is IGO, need
themechanger folder (created if needed) and GFXTX folder is available...
Can external GPS be used with Primo

Ext GPS worked for me on an iPad 1. using an coPilot bluetooth gps sender.
Cost $12 off an UK Ebay site 1 year ago.
Ill recharge it and see if I can find the settings. Dont remember adding
lines unless it was for the port and baud in sys.txt.
Dont hold yourbreath though...havnt used it for a while as I put iGO world
(Primo) on my iPhone 4s after jailbreaking it.
Km/ph instead of Mph on approach to speedcam, how to change?
My Igo Primo works ok now but I have one problem which I can not seem
to resolve.
I have selected Mph/yards..... speed warning and actual speed appear in
mph but when I come up to a speedcam the speedcam warning is in Km,
anyone know how to change this so that it also displays in Mph.
I have attached my sys.txt just incase but im trying to keep it minimal and
just use igo program to change items

Changed Warning distances

The default setting I find warning from to far away and too much so I
added these distance to sys.txt. (Primo 2 9.6.5.245577)
A lot more friendly now .
i also changed a couple of category numbers around to suit the maps in
Australia as they were saying wrong thing for category.

iGO TMC problem

Hello
I have problem with TMC license: CA-TMC (no key)
Anybody have the same problem or have solution how to repair this?
I have in folder TMC/ Slovenia-TrafficNav.tmc but i have error CA-TMC (no

key)
Anybody have the same problem for some other country or have solution
hov to repair this.
You need appropriate Primo licenses for Primo, one is special "tmc primo
worldwide license" and it's not free ... Try with some TMC licenses for
Primo which you can find through google.com
what is basemap.fbl used for?
hi,
sorry for asking newbie questions..
1. can anybody explain what is basemap.fbl used for? is it still required to
be put in the sd card in addition to, of course, the country map? seems
that it's already working well without add basemap.fbl.
2. how many map/poi/dem/etc providers are there for igo primo? such as
tom tom, teleatlas, naviteq? and what is comparison, and which one is the
recommended one?
3. adding other country maps in the contents/map will automatically add
those maps in the igo primo? And if yes, i think it will make the gps
working slower , wont it?
thanks very much.
Basemap.fbl provides an overview of the earth as a whole. It only comes
into play if you zoom out past the boundaries of your current map. If you
don't need that functionality it can be left out.
There are plenty provider to maps and ect.. also Topmap from very local
provider as well
Those local provider are just very local, and have nearly all roads in that
country.
If you live in the north of Europa then use TomTom maps, and if you live in
the Eastern Europa then use Navteq or Topmap
To use from different provider are up to you what you want to use.
But don't mix the maps from those Maps-provider, use only from one
provider.
In your nr. 3
No... the GPS don't run slower, you can have so many as you want to have
and use, depend of your size of your sd-card
Your GPS software only use that memory to run and showing that map you
have to use and nothing else

fsp licence
I have the file "Greece_83_NQ_2012.Q1_120627.fbl" which comes with the
fsp file "Greece_83_NQ_2012.Q1_120627.fsp".
But it says that in the info that the fsp is inactive. It needs a lic file for that
or a setting in the sys.txt file to activate the fsp data?
The program is the igo primo for android.
You need appropriate license, not some command lines in sys.txt for
activating .FSP files.
Properly uninstalling iGO apps

Create a route with a .kml

If you want to follow a specific route and not one that your system wants
you to go, say for example you wanted to visit a location off route whose
address is not on the gps you can visit a routing website and save the
route you made as a .kml
Transfer the file into a folder called "route", you may have to create this
folder.
It would be places at /content / userdata / route

You have to be aware that you can not start the route if your say 50 miles
away. You would need to be at the start of the route for it to work.
How to install igo primo on double din headunit
hi all,
I would like to share how to install igo primo 2 on my double din headunit.
Caska 3628, OS: WinCE, Resolution: 800x480.
After browsing through several gps forums, like noeman, navigasi.net, i
found that those forums almost provide nothing about primo installation in
headunit, although the software, maps, pois etc are easily to get (thanks
to ScorpioPirate
). Have consulted to ScorpioPirate too on how to
install it, but still couldn't work.
so i decided to ask the R&D of Caska in my country on how to install it.
Surprisingly, it is very easy to install it. Basically, there is no
setup/installation like Windows-like to be run first. It is enough to execute
the primo.exe directly. Now, it depends on how your device to point or
execute the primo.exe file.
On my headunit, the steps are as follows:
1. copy the folder "Primo2" to sdcard. (i used igo primo2.2 internation
edition from zerdim, uploaded by ScorpioPirate)
2. create a file "maplaunch.ini" in sdcard, open the file and write this:
[MAP]
path = Primo2\Primo.exe; <-- this indicates how my gps find the path to
execute primo.exe
bmpiconpath = Primo2\ui_igo9\800_480\loading_1.bmp; <-- this indicates
to load loading picture at the beginning of startup of the gps
showname = IGO Primo by Albert; <-- dont know what this is used for

For this file, i copied the file from my previous sd card that was installed
with igo 8. i simply edited the text inside that file.
3. copy map, building, poi, dem, voice, and other file into corresponding
folder in folder "Primo/content".
4. that's it! insert sd card to headunit, and enjoy!!!
Another information, I used Tomtom maps, pois, etc buat i found that they
weren't updated. The R&D guy told me that it was better to use maps,
pois, and so on from local provider (local provider that cooperates with
Naviextra in providing maps). Fortunately, found a friend that use licensed
igo primo, and i simply copied the folder "Primo/contents" and used it in
my sd card. And it's true, very very complete.
happy enough to use Tomtom, thats fine.

But if you are

Special thanks to ScorpioPirate and Zerdim in providing igo primo software

and maps.

Speedcam warnings - configuration, and check the settings

Tutorial written under the influence of questions japseye (Thx) ... to use

for anyone interested

OK. let's do this:
Exit the house. Turn navigation. Wait until you catch the signal and selects
you to the screen where you are. Click on the screen and select a point on
the road at a distance of approx. 2 km. from where you are.
Then in the menu (called differently depending on the skin you are using),
select - Add speedcamera!
Again, additional menu will appear where you must select the
characteristics for this speedcamera. - Look at the drawings below. You
have shown step by step how to add speedcamera. Later, you can delete
it.

- Now you do not have to drive far to the check entries.

What do we do next:
1 copy just in case your current sys.txt (eg. 2 in the phone do a copy and
mark it _sys.txt)
2 Clear the previous section [warning] and [speedcam CAT (all)]
* - Here a small note:
in the example that you sent a record; S P E E D C A M - C A T: 1 !!!
No wonder - you did not have warnings about speedcam stationery because these radars are CAT: 0! CAT: 1 - to Mobile speedcamera !!!
And what is the assignment of speedcam types of devices have shown and
described in my post no. 6 (Android UX Speedcam_Off sound request)
3 Insert the following entry to the [warning]
[warning]
speedcam_enabled = 1
is_spoken = 1
speedcam_warning = 1
/ if you want to all sections of warning used was the same distance
dependence of the speed warning is additionally insert here the line as
follows: /
warn_distances = "100: 1000.80: 800.60: 600.40: 400"

/ if you want different for kadj section - it's a line that you insert into each
speedcam CAT and modify entries in this line - for example,
warn_distances = "120: 1000.100: 800.80: 600.60: 400", or
warn_distances = "80: 800.60: 600.40: 400"
in this section [warning] you can still declare whether the program is to
inform about the speedcam (yes / no), and if so: at speed, or approach at
all.
Declares this by typing the following line:
speedcam_soundtype = 2; = 0 (none), = 1 (or above), = 2 (approximation)

4 Now the most important part - the content of which depends on whether
you are using TTS or not
a.- for non-TTS version - Read and understand the topic by BROWN DOG
(THX) - Speedcam audio warning - non TTS - there you detail what and
how and where !!!
b. - TTS version:
Here you have a speech - are reading the TTS, or sound information - in
the form of wav file playback. I wrote about earlier.
* selection of the notification is made by a declaration = speech or =
sound
Declaration on the lines in the [speedcam: CAT] and example for Category
"0" - that is, SPEED CAMERA - looks like this:
; S P E E D C A M - C A T: 0
[speedcam_category: 0]
warn_distances = "120: 1000.80: 950.60: 700.40: 500"; speed / distance
alert
approach_beep_distances = "400,400"; range (m) measures the signal
"beep"
approach_beep_spoken_type = none; = None / sound / speech (TTS only)
approach_beep_sound = "! proxi"; sound if approach_beep_spoken_type =
sound
* ("! proxi" - is the name of the sound file located in the folder /
ui_android / audio /

or
approach_beep_speech = "Warning!" the voice of the TTS speech
approach_beep_spoken_type =
activated_spoken_type = speech
activated_speech = "Speed camera ahead." (if activated_spoken_type =
speech)
activated_min_speech_repeat_delay = -1; without repeating
overspeed_spoken_type = sound; signal speeding
overspeed_sound = "! alert2"; sound if overspeed_spoken_type = sound
overspeed_speech = "Over Speed"; Voice if overspeed_spoken_type =
speech
min_frc = 15
to identify whether the speed limit should be on the map, or speedcam.txt
need to add the line:
use_road_speedlimit =
1 - Displays the speed limit are given in maps
0 - Displays the speed limit are given in speedcam.txt
ITD - for all categories.
But beware - to make it all work, you need to have a current file
speedcam.txt - eg. Downloaded from topic'u http://www.gpspower.net/igovoices-s...go-SCDB-world- updated.html (Korabi THX
GB postcodes user poi for primo
shows 7 digit postcode positions with labels

to show postcode labels - (note- this will add labels to ALL pois that are

activated on your system - screen can become quite cluttered in places)

add to sys.txt

[map]
poi_grouping_distance=5 ;(50 or 25) screen pixels?
poi_distant_distance=1000 ;(2992) little blue dots
poi_distant_zoomlevel=3000 ;(2992)
poi_label_exclusion=0 ;(1) 0 shows all
poi_label_distant_zoomlevel=500 ;(500)
default_poi_icon_display_mode=3 ;(1) 0=none 2=only labels 3=poi+labels
poi_3d_fast_unification_coord=1 ;(0)
poi_3d_sort_before_unification=1

change in mapstates.ini ( save > profiles > 01 )

all occurences of these statements to
poi_text_alignment="1"
poi_text_show="1"

thanks to tweakradje for the display label info.

How to get super fast GPS locked
I had a horrible time trying to get GPS locked on a low end android phone
that I don't have service (airplane mode) nor seldom have wifi connection
(no internet). For example, Primo took over 15mins to get a locked
(although Sygic took much less time, don't know why)
So I did a little digging and found that a key element of GPS satellite lock is
syncing the phone time with atomic clock (from Satellites or NTP server).
Smart Time Sync Pro (need root access) does that and I can get satellites
locked within seconds instead of minutes!! [se face download: Smart time

Text-To-Speech (TTS) in any language

1) Plug your device on computer and create a folder named VocalizerEx or in micro
SDCard

2) Download and install on your device the attached APK Vocalizer TTS
3) Go in this site
Spoiler: Link
3) Rename the file, adding .zip and open it
4) Extract all files and folders of the zip to this folder (created on Step 1)
(Now you can unplug your device)
5) On your device, go to Settings > Language and Input > Text-to-speech output and
select VocalizerEx TTS
Done, now your device speaks on your language !
Vocalizer Text-to-Speech engine
Vocalizer Text-to-Speech
Install instructions (fairly complex):
1. Get voice
For United Kingdom Serena voice you download vocalizer-voice-serena.nvda-addon file.
It's a zip archive.
You need to extract voice files (eng folder) and copy to Android to /sdcard/Vocalizer/languages/ folder

vauto_pipeline_eng_serena_22_full_vssq5f22.hdr should be in /sdcard/Vocalizer/languages/eng/speech/vauto

For United States Jill voice file/folder are vocalizer-voice-jill.nvda-addon / enu
2. Install vocalizer.tts_1.0.2.3.apk

It won't show up in android all apps, but you can find Vocalizer TTS in Setting | Language & keyboard | TextSelect it as Preferred engine, then click Listen to an example.
If Vocalizer TTS doesn't see any languages - select another TTS, then Vocalizer TTS again.
Doesn't support bet2 voice type.
Doesn't support Vocalizer Expressive voices.

Extend iGO Primo android in devices not rooted KITKAT 4.4.2

Since I can't rotate my cel LG L90 order not to lose the warranty. Had to
make a change for iGO Primo android.LG has 4GB of internal memory. I
wanted to be a way to expand even on sd. I created a folder Addons in
sdcard and inside it a subfolder named content the path
Addons\content\map in sd the same in internal memory.

in
content \ map of internal memory small map, in my case Albania .fbl.the
rest in the Addons\content\map in sdcardAdd in sys.txt:
[folders]has_secondary_root=1android_secondary_root_path="/storage/ext
ernal_SD/Addons"content="/storage/external_SD/Addons/content"The
correct path for the external SD card is important, you need to replace /
storage / external_SD with the exact location of your device (observe
upper and lower case).I have saved so much space in the internal memory.

Hello everybody from Madrid (Spain).
Congratulations on this great forum.
I installed on my Samsung Galaxy S2 for Primo 9.6.22.317625:
Loquendo 7 V4 Spanish
Voices: Carmen, Eleanor, George, John
I've adapted the voice "Voice_TTS-Pro-Spanish-loquendo7-Android-zervdimV4" for the skin "diMkaWA_aP114"
The problem I have is that the said distance in ft(feet), and not in
kilometers.
Where I have to edit so that the distance is in kilometers?

Thanks
Regards
Do the following:
Go to : Navigation Menu -Settings-Regional-Units and Formats-Distance
Set there Kilometers/meters instead of Miles/feet
This put in Kilometers/meters.But the distance stated in foot(ft).
In meters no problem, going OK.For example: "Within 25 meters turn
right",says it well.
But when he says "Continue 4 km" says "Continue 4 feet"
Regards
Delete your save folder, and put this command line bellow, in sys.txt,
[regional]
units="1"
Speedcam audio warning - non TTS
By default iGO is set to an audio warning for speedcams works with TTS.
Many languages do not support TTS, so I made it to work with recorded
audio files on my languages and the other who do not have TTS.
After a lot of time and a lot of misinformation, I came to a decision.
I've tried many combinations but were not usable. Or the infinitely
repeated BIPS warning sound or audio files. I wanted a solution where no
BIPS ound and the human voice heard 2 or 3 times.

Changing TTS Voice Pronounciations
Is there a way to change TTS Loq7 voices so they can pronounce a name
correctly?
I did have a look at one of the lex files but not sure if that has anything to
do with it.
apart from the phoneme file is there anything else that can be changed so
it says a word correctly
random example:
In scotland there is a town called "Milngavie", the gps says it as "Mingavie"
which is wrong it is actually pronounced "Mill-Guy"
so if there a way to change things manually?

In this example, apart of the phoneme files for your map and region, as it
is very specific, I think that the only solution is to translaite it in the
"Dictionary.voice" file inside the zip file of the voice.
Open your voice zip file (with a version under 4.0 of winzip), inside the
folder i18n is the file "Dictionary.voice". You can open it with notepad and
inserte the next:
Milngavie="Mill Guy"
Save the file, say yes if it ask you to update the file inside the zip, and test
you voice. In this example it is only for a translation, but if there were a
lot, you should do it by hand, one by one. I do not know if there is a
specific phoneme for Scotland
hen, maybe you will have to modify some of the lua files inside the voice.
You can try to put in the voice file the next
~Milngavie="Mill Guy"
tmc Europe
Information:
Traffic Message Channel (TMC) is a technology for delivering traffic and
travel information to motor vehicle drivers. It is digitally coded, using the
Radio Data System system on conventional FM radio broadcasts. It can
also be transmitted on Digital Audio Broadcasting or satellite radio. TMC
allows silent delivery of dynamic information suitable for reproduction or
display in the user's language without interrupting audio broadcast
services. Both public and commercial services are operational in many
countries. When data is integrated directly into a navigation system, traffic
information can be used in the system's route calculation.

UX AddOn - Speed Camera/Alert Type
I have created 23 alert points (23 Category types) add-on for IGO Primo, it
may work on other versions but not been tested on those. The screen size
is for 480x272 but again easily adapted for other sizes.
The alert types (Categories) are as follows:Type (Category) 1 - Fixed Speed Cameras
Type (Category) 2 - Red Light/Speed Camera
Type (Category) 3 - Red Light Camera
Type (Category) 4 - Average Speed Camera
Type (Category) 5 - Mobile Speed Camera
Type (Category) 6 - Railway Crossing
Type (Category) 7 - Bus Lane Camera
Type (Category) 8 - Accident Blackspot
Type (Category) 9 - School Zone
Type (Category) 10 - Variable Speed Camera (these are cameras that
speed is NOT fixed so could change from 30 to 50 or reverse and you may
be unaware - you get them for example on M6 near Birmingham and also
M25)
Type (Category) 12 - Toll Booth
Type (Category) 13 - Hospital Zone
Type (Category) 14 - Fire Station
Type (Category) 15 - Congestion Charge Zone
Type (Category) 16 - Tunnel
Type (Category) 17 - Low Emission Zone

Installation Instructions:
UX File speedcam_extra.zip (copy this directly into your ux folder or create
a folder called "ux" in your igo root folder), do not unzip it. You do NOT
have to touch your sys.txt or any other file.
speedcam_extra.zip
any or all features above can be disabled by going into settings/Sounds
and Warnings/Alert Point Settings/Alert Types and change things there.
Each alert point data is in individual files to make it easier to update, just
copy the speedcam_* files into your speedcam folder, and when you
switch on your unit it will combine them all.

Removed from the list splitscreen what has already sounded.

What and how ...

As attractions can act any POI, Including (and perhaps Especially) Those
That are placed in the folder / content / userdata / poi / as .kml files.
Perhaps tie POI names to the names of pictures (jpg) in a folder with
pictures of the place.
It is now possible to see the image of space if you have it tied.
Read below how to do it. For WEUC the application has finished
(replenished).
To view information and pictures of the place is enough to click on the icon
on the left in the box splitscreen or select a POI in the standard way.
Of course this should be done only in the parking lot or in pedestrian
mode.
In the folder iGO / Please insert (create) a new called "userpicture".
It can be placed anywhere, pointing the way to it through sys.txt:
Android - file sys.txt please add:

[attractions]
user_picture_path = "% root% \ Storage \ extSdCard \ iGO \ userpicture"
Note: - Path for Android Prescribed absolute, not relative.
WinCE - file sys.txt please add:
[attractions]
user_picture_path = "% app% \ userpicture"
Note: - Path for WinCE can be relative.
This new folder is associated to the KML POI photos. They are connected to
the name of the POI in KML. Complete copy of the name should be the
name of the file in the folder jpg (userpicture) with photos.
Cyrillic can be a file name. Now it is seen as normal text, not as

UX - Garbage Collector (Memory Optimization)
UX - Garbage Collector by vicewandel (320*240,480*272 and
800*480)

vicewandel presented a very interesting idea to eliminate problems of

memory especially on devices with only 64MB of memory
a 'UX "and add-ons that frees memory occupied with temporary files
The "release (from memory)" takes both the Primo(LUA) level as the
environment in which it is installed (EXT) whereas in the latter it is
necessary to define a list which process to use - the Hibernate_Silent.exe
worked for me on WinCE

- The "MemoryCleaner" folder you put in the root of the Primo

- The "GC.zip" file goes in "UX" folder
- below, the parameters are added to sys.txt
;All "GC" parameters are optional.
;Remove ";" before parameter you want to use.
[gc]
;voice_yes_no=0 ;1=sim, 0=no
;memory_limit=3 ;MB
[debug]
perf_update_autostart="1"
Note: Enable the "UX" in "Extra Settings"
ow reads '0' then '4' so not much needs cleaning. My gps is 128mb. Just
wanted to see what it did so I can recommend to members with 64mb gps.
Garbage.rar content 2 folder :
- MemoryCleaner => put into root of primo
- ux wich content GC.zip
Unzip GC.zip and put those 2 folder (ux and ui_igo9) into root of primo

UX - Speedometer analog and digital (For Igo Primo)

Resolution (800*480, 480*272)
Developed by Fidelis Assis
To enable the Speedometer analog and digital go "extra settings"
Note: Click the Speedometer to adjust the transparency
update: 19/10/2013
Changes Log:
- Code much more lean enabling greater agility - responds more quickly to
changes in speed.
- Improved display calibration X pointer;
- Source the largest digital display;
- To give the utility eye candy: the digital display turns red if speed
exceeds the permitted in section (if present on the map);
NOTE: Although the accuracy of the speed measured by GPS is usually greater
than that indicated by the speedometer of the vehicle, it is more reliable
at a constant speed. In accelerated motion may take longer to reflect the
actual speed.
