SCOPE OF WORK:

Our offered scope of work is Engineering, Supply of Auto flare system, and our offer
includes PLC System & Fie ld Instrumentation works as per given BOQ. However
complete Installation work excluded from our scope.

We will provide Installation & testing supervision.

PLC BASED CONTROL SYSTEM FOR AUTO FLARE

The System proposed will be PLC Based, with Non redundant Controllers, Power
supply, Communication and I/O Modules. All the systems Proposed will be most
reliable and microprocessor based. The Instruments and Controls are liberal to the
extent of providing data on all operational variables necessary for safe, easy and
efficient operation of the plant. All logic operation and alarms are based on the
Instrumentation Systems & Automation (ISA) society.

7 Full touch panel mounted TFT HMI is provided for complete plant operator
function.

All IO wired through the intrinsic safe IO barrier and Terminal blocks.

The system will be modular to facilitate easy expansion.

The type of modules will be kept to a minimum in order to have interchangeability and
low inventory.

The system will have self-surveillance, monitoring and diagnostic facility so that
failure/malfunction can be diagnosed automatically up to individual modules.

The system will be capable of accepting various signal inputs for its direct use while
preventing noise errors due to electromagnetic interference or radio frequency.

Installed spare of 20% will be provided for each type of I/Os. In addition 10% usable
spare space for installing additional I/O modules in future will also be provided.

The system will be capable of accepting process signals from various process sensors
and switches without requiring external or auxiliary signal conditioning devices.

All input/outputs will be isolated from the external control circuits and will be protected
from short circuit and reverse polarity of power voltage.

Memory will be non-volatile. However in case volatile memory is provided, battery backup will be provided for adequate time period to keep program storage intact.

The interrogation voltage to the input contacts will be provided from the input cards.

The output from the system will be potential free dry contacts with contact rating of 5A
@ 250V AC.

All outputs will be short circuit proof and protected by fuse.

The system loading will not exceed 60% under worst loading conditions. The loading as
indicated is the worst case of high system activity referred to the use of memory, CPU
time and communication capacity for this sub system.

Emergency Flare Valve Control:

In the Emergency Flare Control the Gas Holder Level is measured by the Level Switch (LSXXX) shall be fed as process variable to the controller (LIC-XXX). The Emergency Safety
Level shall be maintained between 75 % to 80% controlling the position of the Emergency
control valve (EMV-XXX A&B) on the excess gas out let line to flare sytem.

Till the gas holder level 80 % either one of the Emergency Control Valve A or B in operation
according operator choice at our HMI scree n. if the level reach beyond 80% both valve A&B in
operation irrespective of any mode by operator to avoid the criticality of further gas storage.

Flare Ignition shall be starts automatically when the EMV-XXX A or B valve opens more than
0% along with the Flow/pressure is measured by Flow/pressure transmitter at 350 NB line
near to the flare system.
The running gas blower shall trip automatically when the level of the gas holder goes less
than 20 % level.

EXCLUSION:

Installation work excluded, We will provide only supervision.

Servicing/Supply of Pressure Safety valve of Gas holder, If required for servicing

will be provided by e xtra cost

350 NB/ 300 NB piping and flare modification work.

All civil works such as excavation, drilling, sand bedding, road cutting, thrust boring,
manholes for electrical, telephone and sewer pipelines, concreting, masonry works,
dewatering, shuttering, foundation for M&E equipments, thrust blocks for pipe lines,
any type of sleeves and sealing the same after installation of our services.
