Generation Gap

A difference in opinions, values, attitudes and lifestyle among people of

different ages is called 'generation gap'. Due to these differences, people
belonging to different generations find themselves unable to relate to each
other.
This communication gap between successive generations is not a new
phenomenon. Parents and children across the world have been facing this
problem. Due to fast-paced modern lifestyles, parents and children hardly
find time together. The children, thus unable to express their thoughts and
ideas to their parents, turn to friends for advice who are as inexperienced
as they are.
Today's children are born into a competitive world and have a struggle to
get every thing. Many a time their true potential gets overshadowed in the
rat race. Parents- burdened by the expectations of the society- end up
forcing certain subjects and careers and lives that their parents have
chosen for them, children are left lost and confused.
Parents, on the other hand, feel that in this rapidly changing society where
everyone is so self-centered, it is their duty to protect their children.
Parents tend to feel that their children require guidance. This cannot be
denied. But their constant monitoring makes children feel oppressed and
they tend to turn rebellious.
It is essential for parents to talk to their children and treat them as
individuals. To be forever treated as child can be irritating and sometimes
even humiliating. Children, in turn, must reciprocate with due respect and
attention. Matters such as career, lifestyle and sensitive issues like
freedom of choice of friends must be dealt with carefully and with maturity.
Love and understanding are the best antidotes to this ever-widening
generation gap. Only then will children look up to their parents and parents
will not be burdened with their guilt of not being there for their children in

their hour of need. In this way generation gap can atleast be narrowed, if
not completely filled.

Global Warming
Global Warming is a major problem which our
environment faces today terribly. This global warming is
caused due to Greenhouse Effect. What is greenhouse
effect? It is a condition in which Earths heat trapping
increases more from the normal levels.
Climate change, devastation of the ecosystem, water
contamination, melting ice over Arctic and Antarctic
regions, negative impacts in the agricultural sector are
just the problems caused by global warming.
A lot of damages have been done by this phenomenon. As
the old adage said, There is no other place like home and
our Earth is our home, so we have to take significant
steps to take care of our home.
Policies on global warming are made each day. Are these
policies properly implemented each day? The answer is
big NO. How many policies are made the effects of global
warming are ravaging our planet.
For so many of us global warming is a broad-reaching
problem. This is making the slide in this way of thinking
that they cant do nothing, only the rich who are seated in
the seats of the government can only save them from the

tortures of global warming. This is wrong. Who you are,

whatever you are you can do something for your planet
when you think global warming is a problem.
Global Warming is too serious for the world any longer to
ignore its danger or split into opposing factions on it.

Child Labour
Child labour' is violation of human rights and is considered to be
a necessary evil in any country in the whole world.. It hampers
their normal and natural physical, mental, spritual, intellectual,
emotional, moral and social development. Children are doing
work as domestic servants. They are employed in hotels,
workshops, service stations, shops, construction sites and pulling
rickshaws etc. They are even working in hazardous and
unhygienic forms of labour in manufacturing factories.

Article 24 of the Constitution of India, 1950 says, No child below

the age of fourteen years shall be employed to work in any
factory or mine or employed in any hazardous employment.
Indian legislature has also enacted the Factories Act, 1948, The
Children Act, 1960, The Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation)
Act, 1986 etc. for the protection of rights of children. Article 45 of
the Constitution of India, 1950 casts duty on the State to
pendeavour to provide free and compulsory education to the
children. Article 25(2) of the Universal Declaration of Human
Rights also states about the special care and assistance for the
motherhood and children.

There may no other opinion that child labour should be restricted

and if possible completely vanished. It is a socio-economic
national problem, which requires close analysis and practical
solutions to meet with this burning question.

The advancement of ultrasound technology in India came in 1979 however its spread was slow.
But became widespread in 2000s. It is estimated that since 1990s, more than 10 million of
female foetuses have been aborted because of being girl. We can see that female foeticide has
been practiced through the history and cultural background. Earlier, people believed that male
babies are superior as they would provide manual labor as well as lead the family lineage in
future. Son is considered as family asset however a daughter is a liability.
Daughters are given less respect and priority than sons in Indian society from the ancient time.
They did not have same access like boys in the areas of education, healthcare, nutrition, play,

among common public. Satyamev Jayate, a most famous programme run by the Aamir Khan on
TV has done great to raise awareness among common public through its first episode of
Daughters Are Precious. Cultural interventions regarding this issue are need to be addressed
through awareness programmes. Recent awareness programmes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao,

Terrorism
Terrorism is showing its terrible teeth over and again. The recent attack
on Paris is a fresh example that these terrorists are sans emotions and
compassion. The come out and start killing people indiscriminately.
Children, women, young and old are alike for them. They are fanatics

whose job is to kill the people and spread terror in the world. No country in
the world is untouched from terrorism.

India has also been its victim for a very long period. There are many
organizations active in the country. There are Pakistan sponsored terrorist
organizations in Kashmir which are ready to cause unrest any time in any
part of the country. They get financial support from their masters in
Pakistan. No body can forget the 26/11 Mumbai attack in which more than
200 people had lost their lives.
All the terrorists except one were killed and the one who was arrested was
hanged as per the Rule of the land. Now the question is Who are these
terrorists and why do they resort to violence ? These are the young men
who are trapped by being enticed with money and other means of worldly
pleasures. They are shown false dreams.
So poverty is one of the major factors behind such activities. Especially in
cases of Naxals, this is a big reason. These Naxalites are active in the
middle and middle east part of the country.
These shrewd and unscrupulous people also tap religion to bend the
sentiments of the people , especially the young people who seem to be the
easy target for such designs.
They are twisting the ideology by misinterpreting tenets of religion. The
brains of these young people are washed completely and in the name of
jihad, they are told to kill the innocent people. Now ISIS has become a

great threat for the whole world. It mushrooming in Syria, Iraq and other
Middle east countries.
Their mind is replete with venom which is evident from their brutal actions
such as beheading the innocent people, massacre etc. Now ISIS is showing
its influence in India as well. But it is also true that Indian youth shall not
become its easy prey.
Now the time has come that the whole world must be ready to eliminate
these murderers of humanity. The World leaders have also taken pledge
that they would not spare these terrorists. There is also the need to correct
this perturbed ideology of some misguided youth.
US President Mr Barrack Obama has realized it and he has requested
Muslim Leaders, Political Leaders, scholars and people to be the part of
this fight. After all the biggest loss is being inflicted on the Muslim
Community by such acts. Indian PM Narendra Modi has also emphasized
the need of taking collective action.
So terrorism must be ended for the peace and prosperity of the whole
world.

ranks three in the highly corrupted countries.
Corruption is highly spread in the field of civil service, politics, business and other illegal fields.
India is a famous country for its democracy but it is corruption which disturbs its democratic
system. Politicians are highly responsible for all type of corruption in the country. We chose our
leaders by having lots of expectations to them to lead our country in the right direction. In the
starting they make us lots of promises however, just after the voting they forget all that and
involve in corruption. We are sure that our India would be corruption free a day when our
political leaders would be free of greediness and use their power, money, status and position in

leaders can reduce and finally end the corruption from India. Youths of the country should also

Increasing level of the corruption needs to take some heavy steps to get control over it.

Corruption Essay 6 (400 words)

Corruption is the highly infectious social disease which has spread its roots to the mind of the
bad people. No one take birth to do such type of bad activities in the society however some
bad conditions of their life forced them to do so. Gradually they become habitual for all of these
bad activities. However, people suffering from any problem, disease, etc should keep patience
and trust on themselves and never do anything bad in life. As, one negative step of anyone
may harm the lives of many people. We are not a single entity on this earth, there are many
like us, so we should think a little about others and live life happily and peacefully with positive
thoughts.
Now-a-days, lots of benefits are given by the government of India to the poor people on the
basis of various rules and regulations to bring social awareness among common people as well
as equality in the society. However, poor people are not getting benefited of those advantages
given by the government as many officers doing corruption secretly in between the channel
before reaching to the poor people. They are doing corruption against law for just fulfilling their
own pockets with money.

There are many causes of corruption in the society. Now-a-days political leaders are making
interest oriented programmes and policies instead of nation oriented programmes and policies.
They are just wishing to be famous politician for completing their own interests instead of
citizens interests and requirement. There is increasing level of change in the value system in
the human mind as well as decreasing ethical qualities of human being. The level of trust, faith

The number of common people with increased tolerance power towards corruption is
increasing. There is a lack of strong public forum in the society in order to oppose the
corruption, widespread illiteracy in rural areas, poor economic infrastructure, etc are the
reasons of endemic corruption in the public life. Low salaries norms of the government
employees force them towards channel of corruption. Complex laws and procedures of the
government distract common people to get any type of help from government. During election
time, corruption become at its highest peak. Politicians always take support of poor and

illiterate people by dreaming them big in future during their governance however nothing
happens after win.

Corruption Essay 7 (500 words)

Corruption has been spread like a disease all over the India as well as abroad. It has become
one of the most speedily increasing social issues in the Indian society. It is generally initiated
and promoted by the opportunistic leaders. They never think about the nations benefits and do
lots of damage to the nation through their corruption even for their small advantage. They sell
their country properties in the wrong hands and spread wrong beliefs about India in the
peoples mind living in other countries.
They are spoiling the old traditions and cultures of India for their personal benefits. Now-a-days
people who are working in right direction using right principles considered as foolish in the
modern society and the people who are working wrong and making wrong promises are good
for the society. However, in turn it is true that corrupted people cheating the simple, ordinary
and innocent people. They are ruling the mind of innocent people.
Corruption increases in India day by day because there is a strong connection between the
officials, politicians and criminals who are making this country weak and so weak. India got
independence in 1947 and it was slowly becoming strong and developing but in the mid way
the disease of corruption started and stop India to grow ahead. In India there has been a trend
of give and take means give some money in order to get your work done whether in the
government offices or private sectors offices. And now the condition is getting worse and
worse, as earlier, the money was paid for getting wrong works done or only work to be done,
but currently money is paid for getting works done in right ways and at right time. Even after
paying complete money according to the demand, there is no full chance of getting things done
at time and in right way.
Corruption is everywhere in every department whether it hospitals, education, job, government
offices, nothing is left of corruption. Everything has become a business and the source of
earning money in wrong way. Educational institutions are also involved in the corruption and
they give seat to those students only who have paid for, whether they are good students with
good marks or not. Very weak students are given admission in the top colleges and universities
only on the basis of money paid for wrong admission and the topper student with good marks
and lack of money gets back in the life or take admission in any simple college.
Now-a-days, private sectors companies are so good in comparison to the governmental jobs.
Private companies are giving job on the basis of candidates skills, ability, technical knowledge,
good percentage of marks and all the educational records. However, it has become tough to
get job in the government offices as they need lots of bribe to give any type of job (high level
or low level) like teaching, clerk, babu, nurse, doctor, sweeper, etc. And the amount of bribe
increases in the market as the level of job increase like IAS, PCC, police, etc ranks jobs.

Morning walk

it is not necessary for farmers and laborers. They work all day in fields or factories. They have
to work hard with their hands and feet. So, they do not need any other physical exercise. But
some of us have to work in office. Officers have to sit for six to eight hours a day and do deskwork. Students, too, have to sit for five to six hours every day in their classes. They have to do
mental work. Such people need to value the importance of morning walk in their lives.
There are several kinds of physical exercise. You have hundreds of games and sports. But they
are not meant for all. Students can play football or volleyball. They can run or swim. But what
about persons working in offices? What about teachers, doctors and lawyers? And, what about
old men and women? Their only exercise is the walking during the morning time. In fact,
walking is the only exercise that suits everybodys needs and tastes.
This means that you have to rise early to go for a morning walk. You can get fresh air only in
the early morning. Birds are healthy because they rise early get fresh air. Nature, too, is at her
best in the morning. You can see beautiful sunrise and hear the sweet music of birds. There is
feast of music and colors everywhere. Today you fly like birds. Why should you not also rise
early like birds and enjoy this great feast? This feast of beauty will give you health, too.
But some people like to walk just for pleasure. They go on long walking-tours. They wander
about all day and even at night. They lose their way in unknown places and keep wandering all
the time. They lie on soft grass and drink in the beauty of Nature. They live in the company of
birds and animals and learn great lessons from them. Such walkers are poets. They love
walking madly. But sometimes these mad men give us very fine things called poetry. How
wonderful these mad walkers are!
