The Nationalist Peoples Coalitions ideology is conservatism. Being a political party which
advocates conservatism or strives to maintain or strengthen class-divided societies, this connotes that its
location in political spectrum is right. However, NPC also advocates an economy that is mainly private
owned but the certain important areas of the economy are government-owned or government-regulated.
As such, it can be deduced that it is also located in the center part. All in all, NPCs location in political
spectrum is center-right.
The members of the NPC authored some laws or bills that do not have relevance to their intended
ideology. For instance, Loren Legarda passed laws like Magna Carta on Women and Expanded Senior
Citizens Law to promote empowerment and betterment of both women and the senior citizens. She also
enacted laws like Magna Carta for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Act and Revised AgriAgra Law which indicate that she supports different enterprises, the agriculture and agrarian projects that
privately-owned but still government-owned or government-regulated.
